Entire setup...5.25 lbs

I'll let everyone else in. Autocorrect is hilarious. Checking for "Nick's".
Come on guys just a capital letter didn't seem worth dealing with auto correct. I'm born and bread from moonshining country where English is not our strong point but I know my my materials and mathematics

Just got mine today. Blown away how light these things are. Borderline too light at 0.6 oz each. I put one behind my ear like a pencil while I drilled! Also, a lot stiffer than I expected. I had mine cut to 6.5". No issues with hole size and the EZ Kut. Rockwest is a winner. Glad I went ahead and ordered 28. I'm going to use these a ton more.

I still need to try to break one but wanted to save the catapult events until I tie in.

One more thing, these things are awesome in the hand during cold weather. Warm to the touch. Im gonna hit them with some camoform tomorrow and hunt. Thanks for the idea guys.

Figured i'd cross pollenate threads. if you're looking for a way to silence bolts or rods while carrying, tool drawer foam works great. I had a piece of aluminum tubing I used to punch the holes. my foam is two layers stuck together, an inch total thickness. Cut the piece to where I had to really work into middle of pouch. Nice and quiet and easy to grab without clanking.

Closer to 220. Working on it. Should be 210 by the end of hunting season if I eat clean. Im preparing too.

Good luck. I was down to 230 for a short while, working out like a mad man and eating clean. Felt good but I decided it was consuming too much of my life. I was at 270 though so I feel pretty good at 250.

Hunted with these again tonight. Put a smile on my face every time I grab one. So light and easy. Good point in the warm in hand..low 40s tonight aND dI don't even notice thsee in my hands. Hadn't thought of that bonus.

I bounced on my carbon bolts pretty hard this am. I drilled a hole as close to the ground has I could and bounced on each bolt for several seconds while standing on the end of them. I rotated each bolt 180 degrees and bounced again. I could see and feel them flex but no breaks. When I stand on them as one would while climbing I find them really solid.
I don't know if there is a cumulative effect as far as fatigue is concerned, but so far, these things are great.

@PJC , any update on how good the plastic dip is holding up on the bolts, I was gonna heat shrink mine ,but after some reading that seems like a bad idea, so gonna go with the dipping if it will hold up

I"ve still been using mine without anything on them and no issues. Kinda wanted to monitor wear for a season before I coated them...

The plasti dip is holding up fine. I’ve had 3 or 4 hunts on them. When you think of it, unless you’re using them for a ring of steps for a platform, you only spend a short amount of time on them each hunt.
They seem to have more grip on your boots with the dip.
Speaking of that, I had a foot slip off one tonight at almost 20 feet. Scared me for a second, but there is no substitute for having a good linemans belt and to keep the slack out of it as much as possible.
I always use the bolts to keep my LB up as high as where I am working. That made my fall a short one, thankfully. But I was amazed at how helpless I was to save myself. Hands lost grip and my other foot came of then too. I was totally at the mercy of that linemans belt.
The Plasti Dip is holding up fine.
