Team 2 is #1 - 2018 Thread

Great job getting it done you all!

I’ve been working more than normal and also trying to get ready for a trip west of me to chase mulies. So I haven’t hunted around home as much so far.
However, I got out this morning in a nice calm 45 DEG morning sit. Around 8:30 I couldn’t take all of the squirrel activity so I decided to put one in the pot- 21.5 yard head shot via the back of the neck with a judo. Needless to say, it was a one hitter quitter!

About 9:45 I decided to get down and stalk back because I have thanksgiving #2 to get readying for. About half way back I spotted some movement. It was a nice doe cutting my trail at 47 yards and quartered to. After ranging and adjusting her she paused looking past me but still, I dropped the arrow in perfect and she got woozy and dropped inside 40 yards from the shot. One of my best archery moments, it was the whole mystical flight of the arrow moment for sure!
Anyway here’s some more meat on the pole and points for the team.

Are the controls similar to a motorcycle? With a new 7” of snow today, this sounds like an extra good way to go. I’m getting close to pulling the trigger on a regular fat bike...

More like a bike, you have 3 gears and speed selection that goes from 0 to 9 and you have to paddle (barely). It also has a throttle that can be used in any gear at any speed and you only have to start with a 1/4 of a paddle then push the throttle, like a 3 wheeler, then you don't have to paddle.
 
Alright guys, I can't believe it, but we are winning so far and Autumnrider isn't dragging this team down! I'm done putting up points for the year, out of buck tags... bu I think if everybody at least gets a doe we have this thing in the bag. If Dano would stop growing his step business for a couple of days he could help us out a little :)

Almost shot a spike on Saturday but my daughter already shot a fork horn so I can't let her show me up!! LOL
The deer are killing my small food plots, just waiting for a big one to show up during the one afternoon I hunt each week.

Way to go team!!!

My season runs to mid February. I still have a rut hunt here in LA (early January) and a rut hunt in Alabama (early February). We’re just now seeing the big bucks split off from the groups of smaller ones. The smaller ones are still grouped up. The hunting should just get better from here on out!

Next Friday (week from tomorrow) I start my "RUTCATION"!!!!!! Rut is just now starting and the big boys should be on their hoofs for the next 2 weeks!!! Going to the cabin for 12 days and all 12 days will be all dayers unless I saddle one more. We are allowed 3 bucks here in Mississippi and this last one will have to be a "SURENUFF`N" before it dies.

So Nov 3rd I got my first ever saddle hunting bow kill. This buck I got off a 120acre island. I actually missed a chance at a larger buck but this one came walking by minutes later. Sorry I am not in the pic as I didn't have anyone to take a pic. Not bad for wearing prosthetic leg devices and climbing a tree!!
