Just made one with just paracord on the ends like DaveT posted in his video, but having the material slip - it compresses down to the knot size, so that method isn't going to work. But man is it way more comfortable than my kestrel! Still need to figure out a good build but I don't have a machine or speedi stitcher. May just need to get one. Did cutting the material in a U make a big difference in comfort or just bulk??

Cutting the u out did get rid of some bulk, but I did it so the tether would slide up and down as I sit or lean. I definitely put the stretch side to side instead of up and down, probably should be the other way... I've done some of the hammock style ones, it works for me if you fold the ends like an accordion and the girth hitch it.

Baby is as stubborn as I am... We are evicting it Saturday night if it doesn't come out on it's own :)

Had an encounter with a real nice 8 yesterday morning trying to upgrade my buck entry. He came out to an opening from an old logging road at 100 yards when I saw him. He could have gone a few different directions that would have been out of bow range but he continued up the path towards me. At 60 yards he slipped into the pine thicket... if he had gone another 30 yards I would have had a clean broadside shot. First full season on this lease and first encounter with a good buck so it still is a win. I will be hunting with my son next weekend so hoping he gets a shot at him. I believe he left his bedding area on the opposite side to circle around the pine thicket scent checking it for does that bed in it. Good to see daylight movement. Friday in another spot I only saw 2 does so rut is still not happening in southern VA. But it should be full on for next weekend!! Time to go take my wife away for a weekend trip for her birthday before hitting the lease a lot over November.

I had an encounter yesterday morning with a big 6 I've been seeing. Not sure where his older brothers are yet. I probably got within 30 yards of him before he spooked and ran. I kept debating on whether to take him or not, but then decided to blow the horn so I didn't run over him. He was just standing broadside in the middle of the road at 10:00am.
 
Double lung & nicked the heart, 19 yds. This spot is thick from the ground but it’s like a fishbowl 20 ft up. Really liking top of my lw sticks plus 2 we stepps for platform. Might play around with my ameristeps again just to contrast. Man I love bow hunting in November, gorgeous morning out now for some back straps tomorrow for football......

On the board on MO public. Completed the all night drive at 4 am and went straight to a tree. Killed him at 8:30. First saddle kill.

Non resident. Went here last year and killed a young buck day one, did nothing but scout for four days after so I had an idea what I was doing when I got here this morning.
 
I am looking to do out of state like that. I’ll pm you after season and get your opinion. Not looking for secret spots.

Sounds good bud. My opinion is pick an area you can get to in a decent drive (for me 6-8 hours), that has good big buck potential, and has several options for public in close proximity(for instance I have three parcels scouted within an easy drive from my tent).

It’s also a little easier for me because my home deer rut in December. So I get to catch two ruts.

Thanks man, we had a beautiful baby girl the day before she was supposed to be induced. Her name is Abigail :) Mom, baby, and I are doing great!
