I am also going to start leaving my saddles stock for a while at least because when the trophyline and wild edge saddles come out I'm sure I'll get those as well and then I can just sell the ones I decide I don't like as much as the one that wins for me.

Felt dumb because I didn't notice until after I bought it. Luckily I have all that stuff already
Yeah, me too. I guess I made an assumption.
I have the other stuff, too. But I'm thinking the Flex will be my hunting saddle that I keep as odor free as possible. My Kestrel will be my saddle for sweating in... pre prepping trees and shooting practice. I won't worry about laundering it. The Flex will be used only for business so I guess I need 2 more Ropeman, a belt, and a tether. I already have a pile of carabiners. Cha-ching $$$

Rope will be tie with bulky knots unless it’s spliced. Rope will be stiffer so it will not pack as well as webbing. Rope usually is ruffer sliding in the carabiner as you twist. If it’s amsteel rope, then it will be spliced, so no bulky knots. It also packs really well and is lighter than rope. Amsteel is also very slick and smooth. Webbing loops can either be stitched or knotted. It’s knots will be smaller than rope knots. Packs really well and is smooth in the carabiner. Very strong and more wear resistant than amsteel.
Never had a problem with rope as a bridge.

Am I missing something? The Flex looks pretty cool but only thing that's really upgraded from the Kestrel is the flex band in the seat, the adjustable bridge, as well as the forward Lineman belt loops. Other than the camo choices it's a kestrel with all the mods one can do to the kestrel themselves, why pay extra for camo choice? Is it just a new toy and everyone wants it before they sell it on here, ex. perch and predator platform
It's a new saddle . I have a Kestrel and 2 other saddles and I order one in Predator camo .I like Predator camo. If someone wants to buy a saddle it's up to them and it doesn't matter how close to a Kestrel it is. Its their money.

I will be anxious to see how much of the Flex bridge is actually usable. Knots and carabiners essentially reduce how much "travel" there is for twisting a shooters body. That is one main reason why I like an Amsteel bridge. I have no knots...it just a bury that can still slip thru my tether's carabiner. My entire bridge is 100% usable across its entire length, loop to loop. Knots and hardware become stoppers that limit how far I can twist.

It looked like the rope bridge is connected to the one side spliced.

Im looking through the woods now and I see small white blotches everywhere. Fungus on trees, tree bark, honey suckle, patches of sunlight shining down. I'll buy predator camo. Heck, I'm white and don't wear facepaint! lol
I agree . I have been using Predator camo since it first came out and I have never had any problem with the fall gray or winter white while hunting from my saddle and I've kill a bunch of deer including some P&Y bucks.

Spliced on both sides would make it 100% "active", but it wouldn't be adjustable. I just don't like crap on either end of a bridge. Even with a whoopee sling Amsteel, I can fully rotate loop to loop. I'm hoping the webbing bridge allows the same amount of movement.

I agree. My ideal bridge would be a closed bridge system made of tubular webbing sewn on both sides. Simple and strong.

On my Kestrel I use a ropeman 1 on my bridge to make it adjustable. I just like it that way. The web is nice but I guess I'm stuck in my ways.

I really like the idea of an adjustable webbing bridge, but I’d worry the adjustment buckle would contact the carabiner from the tether, either making noise or restricting movement.

I ordered the flex on Wednesday. It's my first saddle. I was going to get the older kestrel but waited until the new one came out. What I wasn't sure of is the bridge. The open web looks interesting but as an retired electrical worker the belt I had was rope so I opted for the rope. Don't know if I should call back and get the open web instead. It looks like it would be lighter. Don't know how it would wear compared to rope. Need some input from experienced saddle users. I'm too new to have any experience with different bridges.

I like the rope . The weight is not that big of a difference .

I also like the rope. I added the prussic kit to my kestrel and ordered the flex with the adjustable rope. Looks like the rope is spliced on the new saddle.

Yup,I pulled the trigger too just so I could see which one gets here first the flex which I ordered this morning or the mantis which I ordered in early march!

I almost did the same. What ship time is aerohunter claiming?
