Looking for a good pair of non insulated lace up boots that won't break the bank. Anyone have any suggestions?

Under Armour has several different pair...Cabelas has a pair I bought for $150 and they are still going strong. Danners is also a good choice for laceups... good luck...

X2 on the Danners. Have had an all leather pair for about 3 years with no signs of slowing down yet.

The best pair of bowhunting boots (Danners) I ever owned lasted me 15yrs...i tried to bye the same pair and they were discontinued...just remember the boots you bye your going to wear your pant legs over the tops. This always helps keep your foot odor from escaping out the tops....just keeps it more contained...Good Luck

I'm a Danner guy, have been since they were issued to me (Navy eod) back in 87. Currently I'm hunting in the insulated Vitals. For some reason, Danner just fits my foot perfectly. Tried the Pronghorns, but they just felt stiff. But there are a lot of great boots out there, as I'm sure you'll find out from these guys! Good luck

Depending on where you hunt check out Merrels or Oboz. I use mine from early season to sub freezing and they are waterproof. Not very high on the ankle so if creek crossings are common then they may not be your best bet

I was heart broken to find out that my favorite boots are not made anymore. I have a pair of cabelas pro guide 400g (uninsulated version was made too). Pretty sure they are danners. I have a lot of miles on them and they still go strong. For what it is worth--I was in need of a back up pair for this falls Colorado hunt. I could dump the cash on Crispi or kenetrek without future child support payments in my future. I then went to red wing shoes and got a pair of uninsulated elk trackers. Though around $200, if you buy from them they will oil them and maintain them for you free of charge. They are all leather and re-soleable which I like. I rolled the dice but like what I see so far.

Another positive experience with Danner here too. I’ve run the same pair of East Ridge boots for the last three years. Worn on a summer hog hunt in Oklahoma down to a Maine deer hunt in 2+ feet of snow. Comfortable in just about any scenario. They’ve got several years left in them too.

Yeah I think I may try a pair of waterproof Merrell hikers. I'm just not a knee boot guy if I don't have to be. Typically don't wear them if I know I don't have any deep creeks to cross.

Danner pronghorns 1200s for winter
Lacrosse aeroheads for early season
Do you know of any of the Danners you'd recommend that are a non insulated boot? I already have a pair of insulated ones

Military Issue US Made ALTAMA (sp?) "jungle style" boots. https://originalfootwear.com/products/jungle-px-10-7?variant=12566961389640 Mine are in desert tan. They have an excellent softer style sole that has great traction and doesn't make sound on your climbing sticks etc. You can probably get them for $30-$50 new at an Army Surplus Store. They are not waterproof but I spray all of my boots down with two coats of silicone waterproof spray. These boots wear like iron and are super comfortable. Great early season boot. I would get a good pair of insoles for them though.

I'll look into them. Definitely like the price lol

For a pretty decent pair of hunting boots without breaking the bank, I recommend the Browning Buck Shadow (see here). Available in different camo patterns and insulation levels. I have a pair of uninsulated for early season use. Been wearing them all spring/summer so far on various hikes, and like them a lot. Supposedly waterproof, but haven't tested that yet. Breathable. Like better than my old Danner's that cost a lot more. Comfortable and fairly light weight for an 8" tall lace up. Don't know yet how they'll hold up over time, but they seem well built.
