I'm curious where everyone is hunting out of state this year.

Me...

Atlanta suburbs with @huck72412
Michigan with a buncha dudes
Missouri with my brother and a buncha dudes
Montana with @Erniepower
Alabama with my Uncle
Washington DC with @putt4doe

My out-of-state hunting has taken a real back seat the last 10 years in the military. I've only been able to travel a few times. Now I'm making up for lost time.

Who's going on a cool trip? I want to hear about it and get jealous.

I’m still in college so going on an out of state trip is hard for me, but if I can find a decent piece of public land in Mississippi (I live in Louisiana) I’ll be trying that

I have an out of state trip planned for IL on Oct 3-6. I am going to a friends farm to do a little doe patrol. He only gun hunts for bucks so the deer numbers are high. We shed hunted in February and on his 120 acres I counted over 60 does walking around that day. It will be my first hunts from a saddle and I’ll get to be in a target rich environment. This will allow me to work out the final kinks, dial in my system and get some practice in before the Alabama season opens back home in a much more pressured public land environment. Goal is to kill at least 4 does on a Thursday PM thru Sunday AM hunt. Should be fun!

6 outta state tags is my whole years hunting funds, lol. I’ll be going to KY again, have had good years and bad but all of em better than Florida

Seriously. I've never been able to do this before. Now it's a tax write off!

Ohio is on my short list. Never hunted there.

I’ve never even drove through lol. A buddy and I wanted somewhere we had the chance to kill big deer but that if we weren’t successful we could get back to and try again before season is out. Camp is 7hours from the house. It’s a doable weekend hunt if we don’t get it done this trip. Either way I think it will be a blast camping and hunting every day with no cell service (so I’m told).

That's a cool hunt. I'm hunting elk on the Idaho/Mt border.

Good luck on your elk hunt, the elk tag I wanted sold out in the 1st 10mins since only 297 were made available, gonna try next year or try to hunt Colorado. Hoping to make at least Idaho a yearly thing unless I move out there in acouple of years.

Been very lucky to buy a camp in the finger lakes of NY to hunt from. Also hunt ct. but thats day trips.
