TEAM 8 Discussion Thread

Thanks. I actually don’t know the lady that passed but go to church with her daughter, three grandkids, and about eight great grands.

Good luck. I was planning on going this evening but it doesn’t look like I’m getting off before six or seven.

I made it out this evening anyway. Got setup about 5:30. Saw one doe. Heard her get up and start moving around behind me. She moved out and got down wind of me about 6:00. She milled around for a few minutes then went and bedded back down. That was it until dark. Pulled my cam on the way out and most of the activity has been between 10pm and 5:30 am.

Headed out tomorrow morning for an early sit. Here's my set up, 8 WE stepps, Out on a Limb RidgeRunner, and an aerohunter kite. I'm planning on a 5-6 hour morning sit, hopefully a nice mature doe swings my way...

I’m out as we speak, finally! Hopefully I’ll see some movement and get a buck in range of the recurve!

Good luck to those that are out.

I hit a spot this evening that I had the most excitement about during post season scouting. It’s a swamp on my lease. It’s not big. Water gets deep in a few places but there are a few islands with some awesome beds and rubs. I’ve already got a bunch of pictures of a few bucks one for f which is a shooter headed that way at about 4:30 in the am and coming back at 8:30 pm. Eased in there this evening. The swamp is a dust bowl. Not even a muddy spot in the whole thing. Not that much sign either. Decided to head to a hardwood bottom on the back side of the swamp that I can never hunt because I can’t get there without bumping deer in the swamp. Started raining about the time I got setup and rained until dark. Did see a doe but it’s not a place you want to try to get any deer out of. Definitely not a doe. Good thing season lasts until January. The rain was awesome probably only a 1/4” but it’s the first we’ve got in about six weeks.
