C’mon man it’s not that bad if you don’t have a walking foot I can see it being a pain in places

Which walking foot do you have? I was looking at the Sailrite LSZ-1 to compliment my Juki 8700h.

Heres what I ended up with. Definitely prettier in Black. Also used 1inch tubular instead of the second layer of 2 inch webbing.

Added a few better pics

Thanks for letting me take a run at it fellas! Great design. A few more moving parts than I'm used to, but the adjustability is awesome!

He has saddlitis really bad like some of us do, terrible disease! Characterized by chasing the latest and greatest release, even when you know in your head it is no better than what you have now. Also manifests itself by saving .000015 ounces on a carabiner or rope, just because you can.

What he said!

It seems like he can make a saddle every 10 minutes.
Just seems that way. I will have 2 or 3 going, them there's typically a delay caused by frustration, or by the inevitable wait time for repair parts for the machine or a tool I threw, or replacement material cause I burned the previous batch.

What machine are you running? The only replacement parts I’ve had to keep on hand are needle plates and needles of course

Another Grand slam @bwana. I made a wraith-ish clone with fleece and hunted with it all but a couple of times. I made a clone of your wraptor and it was extremely comfortable until I added the leg straps. Then it lost a bunch of comfort. I might have to add some mesh or fleece to it and try it again.

Do you have a picture of the fleece sling

This is the best I can find. I wanted to make it square like a sit drag but I made a mistake with the webbing layout. It actually tapers to about 2 inches from square on each corner which isn't shown well in the picture. I have it buried in storage right now but the frame was a wraptor but came to a "V" instead of the "H" Bwana used to keep the shape. I think this is what led to the corner issue, which may have helped the comfort for me.

I cut the fleece square, which makes the "mistake" I made less pronounced.

My saddle has fleece and I use it in the south early season and don't sweat. It doesn't bother me.....minimal swamp a$$.
Good point! My earlier post may have been misunderstood or misstated. I went for mesh over fleece primarily for support, not for temperature regulation. The mesh provides much better support with the webbing, and the fleece can actually give too much in this case. As far as up north, I was suggesting that if you use fleece, go with 2 layers which would add more support, but definitely would be too hot down here.

Is there any concern of the nylon bridge directly against the seatbelt material of the saddle? I think I read it somewhere about this being a concern. Maybe it was the wraptor thread, but I can't find it now.

You may be thinking of the thread demonstrating Amsteel cutting thru webbing.
