So almost every time i use my predator platform either gen 1 or 2, i have both, they both pull away from the tree on the top teeth. I know im setting it correctly. Im not worried about falling however it has kicked out a few inches several times while putting on side pressure while practicing. Any suggestions. Pic isn’t that good but the top teeth are at least a 1/2” completely off the tree. Sometimes as much as an inch!

If they are an inch off the tree something isn't quite right with your setup unless the tree is really soft bark. All I do us tighten the strap as tight as I can with the platform folded then push down as I cam it over. If the bark seems to collapse under the standoff I repeat that process and 98% of the time that's all that is needed. If I get on it and it's not as tight as I like I toehook it and it doesnt budge after that.

Most times tighten - push down -cam is all that's needed. If still loose, a toe hook will definitely take care of it.

It happened to me at first too. If I toe hook it it NEVER pulls away, it’s locked in tight as all get out.

most times I don’t even need to toe hook I just do what @flinginairos said and tighten strap as best I can with the platform folded up. Push down hard as I can. And then cam it over. Do that and you should have no problem. If for some reason it still does it,toe hook and stand on top of the cleat as you do it and you’ll be solid.

obviously you should be safely secured to the tree before you toe hook

Tried it all. Toe hook, Nose hook, Crap I'd even try a "Hooker" if I thought that would help. Tripple belt tightening. The platform always eventually pulls away from the tree. I'm a big guy but not a monsta.... 6ft 200..... however when my platform is folded down I keep it slightly above level as my weight brings it down to level. I also stand on my toes on the outer edge of the platform a lot not that that should matter. Its almost like the teeth don't extend out far enough to bite the tree.

Mine is rarely loose. If it is, I simply uncam it, re-tighten the strap and cam again.

Are you using the original strap? I could not get my DIY cam over platform tight at the top until I went to the Lone wolf strap. It is much beefier than the Helium strap.

You might want to try DanOs standoff. I didn't have the issues you're having with the stock standoff, but the one from DoubleSteps is more curved and I've found it to be tighter on certain types of trees (e.g., White Oaks).

Try a lone wolf strap if you have one it fixed this problem for me.
I do have a predator strap that holds really well but the first one I had didn’t hold very good at all and was hard to get undone once I was ready to get down.
Basically your buckle or strap is giving causing slack.
The more your strap/buckle gives the more the standoff pulls from the tree once your weight is on the platform.

Have any of you changed the bracket? Just curious if replacing with Tethrd upgrade or one from EWO makes any difference.

Yes see above. It gave me much better surface contact with the tree since it's curved, and has sharper teeth compared to the stock standoff.47E266AB-05C4-42EC-B892-C66D304CA1BD.jpeg

When you originally set it up make sure the platform is folded closed. Get it tight and then cam it. If it doesn't set right, close it again and put all you're weight on the post and then keep as much weight on the post while you step on the platform to unfold it once again.

I'll give it a try again boys but not today. We're getting 3 to 6" of the white powder and I aint talking cocaine.

Change the strap out. Seems like a common thing. I tighten it with the stand up and press down as hard as I can on the post and cam over. If need be, toe hook is next step, but I haven’t had an issue really. I also weigh 150# though so I’m pretty light compared to some.

Hesitant to put all my weight on the post to cam it over. I'm afraid it will break my Gen 1 platform
