Coffee travel mugs?

So do you need to preheat these things like with a regular thermos or not? I always fill my thermos with hot water the night before so it isn't cold when I fill it.

Heck no, lol. Honestly dude, you can make your coffee before you go to bed and put it in the thermos then just grab and go when you wake.

Trust me, you NOT notice a difference in temp.

Zojirushi is the best. I have the 16 oz and then went to the 20 oz because, well, I like coffee. Completely silent operation and leak-proof and keeps coffee hot for a lonnnnnnnnnnng time.

For in my truck, I have the Yeti and RTIC rambler mugs and the Yeti drinks better than the RTIC in the way the lid works.

I already showed my coffee thermos but this is my everyday work containers. Coffee is the 24oz thermos, water or herbal tea in the 40 oz container. And usually steel cut oats with chocolate protein powder in the food container. Trust me I’ve used them all. These work excellent. I’ve lost o rings and had lids eventually not work. The grip came off one eventually. The dishwasher is hard on anything rubber and plastic. I work on railroad and these go with me every trip. They’re solid, trust me. Also how the heck do the pictures keep rotating.

This could be my first post, new guy here.
I love all my Yeti stuff, but you absolutely will not find a better hot beverage thermos than a Zojirushi, PERIOD!
Trust me on this one, one handed quiet opening, and keeps stuff HOT, like too hot. I have to let my coffee cool down before I put it in.
Try one out, you won't be disappointed.

You may not know much about bacon, but I will take your thermal mug advice anytime. The one you recommended is the best I ever used.

I'm very interested in one (or hundreds) of these, but my hesitation is that I wouldn't be able to actually use it. I like to drink my coffee in the stand in the morning up until lunch. From the sounds of it - it will be too hot to get more than a sip at a time, lol!

I would guess you could get it to the temp you want & maintain it better........

Rumor around south GA is y'all michiganiacs were brewing up in the tree

They sure will keep a beer cold in the SC summertime too when your busy and gonna spend a while drinking one. Or so I’ve heard.....

Make the coffee a hair stronger and throw a few ice cubes in it. I do it all the time.

I have the Yeti 20 ounce thermos. It literally keeps my coffee piping hot for 8 hours and longer. I have laid it down in my pack, it's been upside down and all over my pack without one drop lost.
This is what I use. I preheat my Yeti, and no matter the temps, Ive got hot coffee. Just add boiling water to the Yeti and screw on the lid for like a half hour. Pour out the water and add hot coffee. Preheating and prefreezing the Yetis make a difference in long term temperature.

I just got my zojirushi 20 oz., I'm doing trials now. Preheated the unit with 124 deg tap water for 10 min while I boiled the water for the trial. 212 deg going into the freezer @17.4 deg. I'll check the temp in 5 hrs to see where I'm at. I only drink the one coffee before I leave the house and one more 12oz coffee in the tree which is good till about 10 or 11am , after that it'll be hot broth for me. I've always needed something more late morning till close of business with my hanging lunches. I do have a thermos if I want soup but it's heavy and way bigger than the zojirushi, which is seemingly perfect size for what I need. The lighter I make my climbing and killing tools the more room and weight I can allot to my comfort items. The pack weight always seems to stay the same.

If you put hot broth in this thing before you leave in the morning then it will still be hot broth after sunset. Zero doubt.
