Coffee travel mugs?

I have the Stanley but It started leaking... I’m thinking about messaging Stanley to see if they will send me a new lid. I cut the bottom off one koozie and slid it up to the top. Then I put a regular koozie on the bottom. The koozies are forgiving when you bump metallic stuff.

I’ve done this twice with Stanley. They are very responsive and took care of me quickly both times with warranty items.

I use the Stanley 16oz sealing thermos. Love, it... it is a little heavy, but keeps my coffee hot for 6 hours as long as you temper it with hot water before filling. I do not use creamer that would lower the temp as well.

There seems to be a thing going around that a small amount of creamer will make your coffee stay warmer longer. I’ve tested this myself since I sip coffee from a knock of yeti cup every morning till about 12 (I’m a slow coffee drinker). The coffee without creamer (Black) tends to get cool at around 10:30 whereas the coffee with creamer typically stays warm until 12 or so.

That said I only drink black coffee when hunting, but if you wanted the extra time you might try an experiment yourself.

VERY interesting, although I do not use creamer normally. Thank you! I would love to figure that one out!

Does anyone know if the yeti lid works with the ozark knock offs from Walmart?

Check out the Microlite Fliptop from Badlands or the Microlite Flip. It also keeps stuff warmer/cooler than most of my other brands. A trick to keep stuff warmer is to put hot water in your thermos for a few minutes prior to dumping it out and replacing it with your hot coffee or whatever. The opposite works as well for keeping stuff cold.

Is there anything that retains heat longer than a Yeti (vac sealed like a Thermos)?
Don't need a Yeti. R-tic work just as well IMO. And I'm sure other brands as well. I use a cheapo Ozark Trails from Walmart for my everyday cup and it holds water cold throughout the night on the nightstand.

I use a coleman brand thermos/bottle. It will keep coffee hot all day and is easy to drink out of and spill proof. Had mine for a year and a half, or maybe longer, no leaks. I've got a 40 ounce version and you can run the handle upside for a better hold on it, shouldn't need it for the 24 oz shouldn't need it though

Betcha it’s got something to do with the density. Creamer is much denser than coffee and would retain heat longer

This could be my first post, new guy here.
I love all my Yeti stuff, but you absolutely will not find a better hot beverage thermos than a Zojirushi, PERIOD!
Trust me on this one, one handed quiet opening, and keeps stuff HOT, like too hot. I have to let my coffee cool down before I put it in.
Try one out, you won't be disappointed.

I’m a thermos junkie so I ordered one of these....if it sucks I will hunt you down (you’re already of questionable moral character with a handle that insinuates that you like precooked bacon)......

My current go to thermos keeps coffee plenty dang hot, but the flip up top on this one has too much positive potential for me not to give it a try

I’ll take you up on that! Haha
It was a handle given on another forum using my initials RCB (bladeforums), I’m a recovering knife junky.
You won’t regret it, just wait and see. Let me know what you think

I was a BHK knife guy myself till they went their sperate ways so i know of what you speak.

Should be here Tuesday. I’ll definitely check back in, but the true test won’t come until a January morning around 1130 when my waders are frozen and it’s time for that last cup of coffee that I’ve been saving. THAT is the tale of the tape for a thermos. Any of them will keep a full thermos of coffee hot.
