If the sticks start being made in the US, I will likely order one or a set then.

Word to the wise, if your trying out gear. Make sure you have the new replacement in hand & make sure you like it better then sell...... It sucks to have to try & find something you already owned if you don’t love it’s replacement. I know you’ll be out the cost of both but only temporarily (don’t ask me how I know.....)Those ewo sticks are pretty sweet. I might sell the beast sticks and get them. I like the tree brackets better on the ewo sticks. Plus looks like they are a little lighter as well.

valuable lesson. I have unfortunately had to relearn numerous times.
but what really sucks is when you buy more of what you had to immediately realize why you got rid of it to begin with...
It’s a vicious circle...

I'm 150lb lean and nimble. I taught myself never watched a video or anything just bought a cheap pair and just went up a soft barked tree. Just need leg strength and good balance i always figured. Folks get caught up in these light weight gaffs and yes I got a pair but I toted Buckinghams for like well heck was 1st and only pair I had until i.git these last fall. Sooooo 10 years maybe. To me learning was easy cause im not scared heights I know i can handle.my body weight and have good balance. Get a cheap set and try em, just leave length in ya linemans belt kinda stay leaned back and pick a soft wood tree like poplar and take small steps up and down the tree. Don't let the lineman rope.get below ya waist in height. I actually flipy rope every.step i take.. there Is a technique to it but its not hard as most make it out to beMan I’ve been real close to trying out the gaffs...that’s seems like a slick way. Just not have much time on em to feel safe. How was the learning curve on em?
I have been wearing gaffs for almost 25 years for work, not all the time or anything but I am definitely seasoned on them, gaffs require no more physical excursion than any other climbing method once your used to them and have your confidence about you, guys that are new and unsure fighting the process mite get sweated up but once you learn how and get the feel for them its not hard, especially for the short heights hunters are going. That being said you would definitely want to practice a bunch before you ever headed off into the woods. Coming down for me was always the hardest for me before I began rappelling down. Nobody taught me either, like blinginpse said pick an easy tree and practice, its all form.Man I’ve been real close to trying out the gaffs...that’s seems like a slick way.
