Latitude Method or Recon sling

I was sold on the Recon sling and had been waiting to see what the ESS sling would look like (I like the Recon better). In the meantime Latitude came out with the Method and the metal free version has me intrigued. Problem is now I'm ready to drop the hammer and I'm having a hard time making a decision. Comfort is the real seller to me and I have a 32 waist, stand 5'8" at 175 lbs.

Do you guys have any insights? I am leaning towards the metal-less Method but I'm afraid the Recon might be more comfortable with the way the straps move to compensate for each other.

You can't go wrong with either. Both offer many different options for comfort.

You would definitely want a size small if you decide on the Recon. Also, go with the webbing style bridge plates which will allow webbing bridge OR utilibridge. If you buy the rope style plates, then you can never switch the bridge to webbing if desired.
IMO, Comparing the Recon to the Latitude is apples to oranges. They don't function the same way, which you seem to already realize.
I also don't see any issues with the metal on the Recon.
I've tried several saddles in the last 2 years and none are as comfortable (for me) as a Recon.

I like a lot about the latitude but the recon will fit bigger guys better and it is cheaper
If it fits, the latitudes metal less option is great. The way the saddle hooks up to walk in, is great too

Both slings are very light.
The Cruzr XC is still more comfortable for me

Recon, though I haven't tried a Method I'am completely happy with the Recon and see no reason to change. Besides Treehopper has been the best saddle hunting company I have ever dealt with. No pre-order BS just good products at a fair price.

I'm an avid reader of this forum, not so much of an avid poster. I've read a lot of what you have had to say about the Recon and appreciate the insight. I don't have anything against the metal on the Recon but the metal free and design of the Method peeked my interest.

I know the Recon is comfortable by reading the time tested reviews that are past the initial release of the sling. The Method also has good reviews on comfort but it makes me wonder how much of that is really just excitement about a new product

What is your idea of a bigger guy? I definitely like the price point of the Recon better but that doesn't necessarily rule out the Method. I trust your reviews (you are pretty objective) and you had some good things to say about the Method that made me reconsider the Recon.

Well I have a 37 waist and a gut. Just slightly smaller than me and I think it might equal the recon for comfort.
The recon was more comfortable for me. I sold the method even though I liked some things better like the rope belt. I sold my recon to my nephew because he wanted a saddle. I might buy another one. Mark is excellent to deal with too.

I wish I could . . .:(

Haha...there were many years I wasn't. I decided a couple years ago to get myself back into shape after I started dragging deer a couple miles back off a mountain. That is another reason I'm interested both of these as I typically hunt a ways back on top of a mt.
