Been revising this method, working with Josh Mills (@Red Beard ) on the leg loop application to the method. Ive been using this system all season and have to say, its pretty awesome! Super easy DIY project for you amsteel guys! Joshes use is a bit different and im calling him out to hurry up and do his video!

Here's my video:

BTW, the originator of the 2 tether climbing method is Scott Adkins (I think). Check out his video at:

I use a nite-ize s biner like that for a bow hanger all last year and this one so far. I removed the metal clip part so I can quickly grab my bow if need be

Pretty cool! I've been playing w/ the idea of a 2 tether climbing system based off of Scott Adkins' videos as well!

I'm thinking of re-using my old knaider as my fixed foot loop (so it doesn't come off my foot) and adding webbing/side release buckle to my backband to use as double duty for my thigh loop. I've got about 100' of resc tec that I'm going to use but I've been dragging my feet on it because I want to send in some splices for break tests before committing to a 2 tether climbing system.

In your opinion, how well do you believe the 2TC will work on trees with a pretty healthy lean? I don't foresee it being much more complicated compared to a single stick climb but it's nice to get an actual practitioner's perspective. Also I'm interested to see @Red Beard 's interpretation.

I've been fascinated by thus approaching since I saw Scott Adkins' video. However, I've only experimented with it once and didn't have much success at the time sans a leg loop and adjustable bridge.

I've rectified the latter, but I'm not sure on how to fashion a leg loop. How did you make yours?

Leaning trees actually offer an advantage due to the foot loop being held away from the tree by gravity, I have found. I look for them!
