Sitka fanatic pack

Looks like a cool minimalist bag. Anybody try one of these or see it in person?
I've seen one but don't own one. I have a sitka tool bucket.. it is WAY to heavy for my liking. This appears far lighter which appeals to me. I'm going totry to use the predator pack exclusively until it gets too cold at least and I need layers!

Sounds like this pack is around 2# or just under. I’m going to take it for a test run a see how it works out. I’ll report back.

I like the looks of it, and I LOVE my fanatic vest! But I really like my MR Pop up 28. I like hauling sticks and platform close to my back, and also need the meat hauling capability.

I’ve been rocking the pop up 28 and enjoy the load carrying but think I’ll be happier with a quieter more minimalist pack. If it turns out how I hope my Pop up will be a good deal on the classifieds :)

You’ll get your money back for sure. They sell decent quick on here.

Received the Sitka Fanatic pack today and first impressions are very good. Thing is extremely silent but easy to use, has well laid out compartments, and is very light. I climb with WE stepps and use a ROS or predator and I think this is going to be perfect for me.

My only concerns are how the Berber will be collecting dirt, sticks, leaves and how it’ll be during the hotter early season. It’s got very little form/suspension but that should be fine as I don’t have much hiking.

I’ll get out in the woods and report back soon.

Looking forward to hearing your input. I almost posted asking the same thing till I saw your post. I’m looking for a real quiet pack and seems like it’s the fanatic, the day one, or kathy kelly , doesn’t seem like bison gear is available anymore. Only thing I’m worried about with the fanatic is that it might hold on to the burrs too much.

I will be using the fanatic pack this year. It’s pretty nice. I like the way my sticks strap to it nice a secure and I can fit my platform easily inside.

I'm running the fanatic line this year. Still waiting on my pack to be delivered. I didn't care for the tool bucket much.

If possible I'd also like to see the stick attached to see how you did it.
That was one of the things that I wasn't sure about with this pack when I saw it at the local Scheels store last night.
Other than that question, it seems like it'd be a great pack for being quiet and hauling things/organizing items for use in the tree.

I just bought one myself. Will take some pics. I agree that it's well laid out and very quiet. Burrs could be an issue, but you're also not nearly as likely to collect burrs on a pack as you are something like pants. The bottom has a lower pile fleece. It'll carry sticks or a bow, but not both at the same time. With steps stored inside, you can carry the bow on the pack.

At a certain point, you're getting to the point where it would be more comfortable to carry with a hip belt and more rigid frame. Or your shoulders will feel it after a while. I'm contemplating modifying it so that I can attach it to my Pop Up frame if desired. The predator pack fits about perfectly in the internal slot designed for a water bladder. On the Pop Up, the water bladder pouch is too narrow for the Predator so I usually end up carrying it in the load shelf.

I bought a fanatic pack this year too. It’s definitely purpose built for calm cold late season hunts with an emphasis on stealth. I think it will work great for that purpose. It doesn’t appear to be nearly as durable as the Sitka tool bucket or any of my MR packs.

I pack my sticks the same. Bonus points that the predator fits inside that rear internal panel perfectly.

I purchased one last week before my weekend hunt.
I totally enjoy this pack!!!
I can see where it fits my needs perfectly.
I hike in almost every time I go hunting and I wanted something that was super quiet, this bag solves that problem.

I did use the straps on the front to carry in my 4 Lonewolf full-size sticks and it worked out really well, I just had to be aware of how high I mounted the sticks since they're taller and could get caught on branches going in, etc...

I was able to fit the fanatic jacket inside with my other items (saw, bow hanger, a few calls, etc...) and everything fit just fine, but I think it'd be a real tight fit if not impossible to fit the fanatic bibs in also (I wore my fanatic bibs in, unzipped from the top down to my knee)

Of course, if I wanted to haul a heavy load with it then a rigid pack would be better but that's not the purpose of this bag for me.

When I'm in a tree, it's super quiet and has great organization inside and out!
I would definitely recommend if silence and organization are a priority for you!
Super happy with this bag!!

I know this thread is a little old, but I have a question to you pack owners. I bought this pack on an impulse buy last week - hunter with it all week on an out of state hunt. Killed a buck. Worked perfect. Thrilled with it. Replaced an ancient Cabelas fleece pack that I had been using on whitetail hunts for two decades probably.

so thumbs up - but my question - have you guys noticed how the outside pockets are not “Connected” in other words, there is a ‘hole’ running behind them. I am certain it must be intentional, but I can’t figure out the purpose? Maybeto string a jacket through? But I just strap that to the back. I’m betting there is an obvious purpose and I am not seeing it.

Just found this thread. Can anyone give an updated review? I hunt with 3sticks and predator but may switch to a fourth stick with Built on platform. I'm trying to build the quietest setup possible with hopes of still being able to go in deep.
