New Era of EQUIPMENT when is the start of the end?

I remember when I was in grade schools. There was a few years that pop up wheels in regular shoes was all the rage. Kids were sliding around all over the place. Then suddenly it all stopped (I assume due to kids getting hurt slamming into walls). Kinda remind me of the idea of attaching climbing spurs to hunting shoes. I still dont quite understand the facts about climbing spurs, I have heard both side of the arguments from people that I consider veteran arborists. Some say that its impact is marginal as long as you're not repeatingly climbing the same tree, other said they would never use them unless its on a tree that is being cut down. So can anyone explain to me why most states dont allow their use, especially since the chance of the same tree being climbed repeatedly is small.

But regular hunting boot with hidden/retractable/quick connect climbing spikes might be the next trend. I dont have experience with it but alot of people seem to like it and think its very safe.

Be honest.
I have zero problems with anyone trying to market themselves or monetize social media for themselves. But do it honestly and don't omit things your really doing.
Alot of influencers omit information from the public to keep us coming back.
Probably why i have hardly any subscribers on my channel. I tell all and its honest and trustworthy content.
I do some trends but most unboxing tells my watchers or readers nothing but “ look i bought this”. i post my experiences with products or tactics. Not my initial reaction.
Ill review it after a dozen or so uses.
You got to remember THP Dan Infalt and many other big influencers put 100’s of days in a stand.
They sit mornings thrn go scout then grab a bite to eat then go hunt again.
That many hours hunting is to me Not a regular guy hunter as they portray to be.
im not knocking abilities or tactics or achievements.
i will say if i sit 200 sits a year and cant kill a buck im choosing another hobby. No matter what equipment i use.
A regular guy can only hunt 2-4 tims a week tops.
Influencers hunt 2-4 times in two days.
xtreme hunters is what are.
This is also the reason i did the influencers video last month.
Got some industry people pissed big time because i talk and say the truth.
i dont care.
this is exactly in my eyes why i label THP and The Hunting beast as entertainment.
thats all they have come to be.
do they kill big deer? Of course they fo its their jobs. I respect them to to the fullest Dan too. They are good at what they do.
Imho they have really gotten away from educational content.
Its all trends and collecting a bigger following
Thp has 5 minutes of sponsors. Dan infslt has also went with sponsors.
i dont gsve a problem with that its fine but dont spit on my back and tell me its rainning.
lmao
They have turned to trends period
It brings followings.
Look up jab jab punch marketing ploys its what they are doing.
Not that its wrong at all its just their way

I doubt very very much if you will ever see THP or Danny boy in a climber ever again.
its all trends.
maybe if one of them reads this post then does it lol.
Trends and followings is marketing and how the industry and many other industries works
if you think hunting is bad.
Im a huge golfer and golf trends and the marketing bs is a million times worse.
stay safe and aim small use what works for you.

sorry so long its just hoe i feel the whole social media is trending

Yeah I've noticed every YouTuber seems to jump on the latest trend i.e. saddles, one sticking, heavy arrows. People need to realize that some of those YouTubers are trying to pump up their views for monetization reasons and don't have any original content of their own. Last season it seemed like every channel had a video on heavy arrows/high FOC. I'm sure there will be some trend this Summer. I'm secretly hoping THP will revert back to climbers just to see what happens.

Lol, that’s rich. I hope they do, though I worry a Summit Viper might crush that little camera guy with the distance they put on most hunts. He barely survived this year as it is.

But THP do have their partners now, so probably not. I don’t hold that against them. More hunting = more content, and they got to make a living. Plus, they don’t seem to answer to their “partners” quite like other “professional hunters” do.

More and more product spotlighting has crept into the videos, generally it hasn’t felt that pushy. The methods are more important than the materials is kind of an underlying theme.

Anyway, here’s who they’re tethrd to:

Where is your channel?

From what I understand talking with a couple people that work in forestry/arborist industry the main fear is spreading disease. Climb an infected tree and when u pierce the bark of another tree there is a possiblity of transmitting disease. I don't know if I buy that or not. I would like to be able to use them but they say no on public around here

if your theory about folks wanting honesty and transparency held, youd Have lot of subscribers, and the devils you have such a bone to pick with, would have none. Or are you saying that millions of people are dumb and blind and can’t see what you see?

Anyway, here’s who they’re tethrd to:

I think they kind of snuck the Bear/Trophy Ridge affiliation in there initially. They went to get new bow setups and coincidentally they were all Bear bows with Trophy Ridge accessories.

I agree. As long as they're not pushing gimmicky stuff then I understand they have to pay the bills. Midwest Whitetail turned me off with all of the ad placement.

Simple solution, get off social media and hunt how you want and whatever you come up with. I've never watched whatever THP is, doubt I ever will. I don't need to watch someone else hunt to be successful.

I have zero bone to pick with anybody lol.
i really dont care.
i take it i guess your labeling me as a liar and im nit trustworthy or honest?
Or are you saying i shouldnt be honest and trustworthy and people will follow?
Lmao. I guess ill never have a following i refuse to do it.
Think what ya want brah. Like i said earlier i call it how it is and say it the same.
have a great day.

Amen bro. Its the message I'm trying to get out. Hunt how you choose and use what works fir you. Sadly social media is dam near a part of life any more.

They are kind of subtle about it except when the aren't. Even then they seem reluctant to pimp their gear, but that might be part of the act. The internet, money and politics has made me so cynical.

Zach wears that predator pack and monster fanny everywhere, but keeps water in the predator pack and hunts from the ground. The next day Badlands monsters sale out along with predator packs (mostly supply issues).

Most of them wear a saddle and hunt from the ground. Greg did a video where I felt he was forcing the tree climb a bit when the ground would have gotten the job done. Might have been for all the self filming requirements which is a trend that has taken off as well.

THP does it full time as a source of income...at least they ain’t saying that if it wasn’t for such and such products I wouldn’t be able to kill deer...and as tactics are concerned...well white tails live in nearly every habitat imaginable but they pretty much all act the same regardless

Now that We have gotten all of our feelings out about the influencers of youtube.
lets back track and just state what new ideas of gear and equipment we want to see in the future.
lets not get each other in a fanboy pissing match.
We all have different opinions about the so called experts or big boys.
i posted this to get opinions and ideas of what people want from new snd even improved existing gear.
thnks
