Walmart has similar straps too.
This straps will work but when you tighten it against the tree you'll find it's a PITA to put stuff through the loops.
If it's like the daisy chain I had from EWO yes they lay flat when tight against the tree because there's no extra length on the loop like the HYS strap.Do the loops lay flat when the back band stretches tight?
I've always liked just wrapping my lineman belt with s biners and a few small carabiners for hanging my gear.
Nothing extra to drag in the woods, nothing to forget or pack, once I'm at height and on my tether I hang it, then I undo my gear first before coming down so i have it when I'd need it.
I dig that. I like my hys strap but the way his packs down is slick.I'll just leave this here. Wish I had know about it sooner.

Anyone know a good place to get g hooks. Buying them on tethrd seems pricey when factoring in shipping. I can find cheaper stuff on Amazon but then I worry about strength.
This is what I did but I used alpine knots on the paracord!
I made my bow hanger, I almost used a hero clip too but welded one up insteadI did the exact same thing. Added a hero clip for my bow and some s biners for backpack, spurs, and whatever else I need to hang up. Packs up small and works great.
A G hook does not cost much. Webbing is cheap. Try strapworks.com. I made my own, my wife sewed it for me. I use Sbiners, a hero clip, and a couple plastic carabiners for stuff I hang up.Any ideas for an alternative or DIY copycat of the Tethrd HYS Strap? I’m looking for a system just to hang a backpack and weapon. It looks like a great product and I’ve heard it highly recommended. I realize webbing and thread for stitches have a cost if I were to sew my own, but I wonder if it could be replicated for less than $38 (Tethrd cost + S&H).
