Got a new bow in the middle of march this year, opening day is tomorrow. Been shooting a dozen arrwows every day to preprare.
Yesterday a guy pulled out in front of me on my motorcycle. I have a smashed pelivs. Riped the handle bars off the bike with my pelivs. Wont be doing much for the next 6 months. I have one more surgery monday.

I have been waiting for deer season all year. Thought I was finally ready.

But I'm alive and didn't bleed to death like alot of broken pelivs ppl do.
I work commercial construction. Sounds like it maybe a good time to get a new career that allows work from home. Any body know how to get good pay and work from home?

That's unfortunate but be thankful you're alive, wow. Hope you fully recover.

Dang, that is sad news. Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you are alive. There will be another deer season next year. Hope you heal up well and quickly.

So sorry to hear this and glad you are alive. Good luck on the next surgery and your recovery from the accident. Give it some time, and although it may look not like it right now, something good will come out of this.

Sorry to read about your accident. Thank the lord you are alive and I'm praying for a speedy recovery. As far as working from home, I would love to figure that one out myself but I hope you do as well.

Though we are all super passionate about hunting, life’s too short to worry about missing a season! Glad you lived to tell the story. I do estimations from home. Lots of good jobs working remotely these days

Sorry it happens to you man. Glad you're alive which is the most important part. There is a lot of companies that staff their HR departments remotely now. Or have you consider loan agents? Try Glassdoor or Indeed sites, they have a lot of remote job listing now. Hope you a speedy recovery and success next season.

Check out USAJOBS it’s all federal work but many can be telework

Glad your ok, I ride a motorcycle everyday to work and things like that make me cringe. I have no idea about a house job sorry.

As a fellow biker, hate to hear that!!! It’s tough out there and no matter how safe we are it’s the other people driving that’s the biggest threat. Praying for a speedy recovery.

I used to average 12k a year on motorcycle, been riding 18 years on the street. Now with 2 kids, I have only been about 1500 miles this year. Inhad just ate lunch and was heading to an archery shop.

Back in '95 I wrecked a car pretty bad. Ended up with a shattered pelvis, broken femur, shattered right forearm, lacerated liver ,a bunch of broken ribs and don't remember what else...
I was in traction for 28 days or sumthin' like that. (that part really sucked)

I spent most of the summer in the hospital and the rest of it in a wheelchair.
I knew I was gonna hunt that year no matter what! I didn't care if I had to paint my wheelchair camouflage...
I was going huntin'!

I shot my first wall hanger that year...

You gotta want it!
You'll get there @Limpy88 , it might not be till late season or it might have to wait till next year but you'll get there.

Sorry to hear and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I can't be the only one thinking this was some sort of destiny though right? I mean your name is Limpy.

Hope you come out of it with no more limp than you went in with. :)

I had a car wreck day before Halloween 2001. Had a steel rod and 2 pins put in my left leg the next morning. Leg hurt every day untill, I had the pins removed December 2018. My first year after the accident I had a bad limp. Friends started calling gimpy. I told them I would beat there asses with my crutches. They said well we can call limpy, because we are calling you something. So I took limpy. Limpy88 has been my screen name since 2002-2003.

^^^ LOL

My nickname has been Gimpy since about 1997.
I started racing dirtbikes when I was 15. I've had soo many broken bones that I can't even remember them all...

Damn man. At least your still well enough to be typing here on Saddlehunter. Hope you recover well. Hunt vicariously through here!

the content is unfortunate- i feel for you- but am also happy to be reading this, because it means you're still with us. glad that's the case, and sending my best healing thoughts.

That's a very unfortunate event my friend. Glad to hear your alive and recovering. I hope this setback will not end this chase for you. Instead only make your perseverance toward this goal that much more gratifying when you final get to draw back on an animal.
Godspeed in your recover and god bless. Screenshot_20211001-122011_Gallery.jpg
