So how do ya’ll like your Drey after a season?

I am a sitter (when using the drey), I also one-stick. I have used the drey all season, and there was about a two hunt learning curve. However, now I love hunting with it. I do wish that the harness was a little more comfortable without the hammock in use, but that is one of my only complaints. Below are the reasons I will continue hunting with it.
- Walking in with it on is better than every other saddle out there.
- It is extremely comfortable sitting. I usually can sit for upwards of 90 minutes without adjusting and then I switch to leaning for a little bit and then go back to sitting.
- I do not move around as much, which keeps me from getting busted.
- When using a rifle it is very easy to get a stable shooting position by using the hammock for support.
- Never had any issue shooting out of it with my bow.
- All day sits are not near as uncomfortable during the rut.
- I got 2 does and a buck out of it this year.

This thing is Un-Deadly.
Not sure if Un-Deadly is a word, but it is Un-Deadly for the deer, because I struggle trying to stay awake, LOL.
Only issue is the leg straps slip down on me. I understand they have a fix.

My leg straps slide down when I climb down which is annoying. A fix for that issue would be welcomed.
Thoughts on getting a drey if I spend most of my time leaning? I understand you can fold it up over itself for leaning. Is it significantly more comfortable than other saddles when used this way?

Take a small/medium bedsheet tie it into a hammock and get a piece of tether rope. stay at ground level and you probably get an understanding of it.
Not sure if youve seen them yet but i just got a set of the wider leg straps Dryad offers and it is a huge improvement over the originals and allows me to comfortably one stick climb with the harness and deploy the hammock once settled in up top. Also got a set of leg strap keepers to try out but honestly dont even know if theyre needed on the wider leg straps as i find they stay in place pretty well unlike the original 1” wide leg straps.
He offers 2 styles of leg keepers, 1 style uses a triglide and the other uses a g hook. Basically they both loop around the leg strap and around the belt and connect. The leg straps are 3” wide compared to the original 1”.
I ran the Drey all season and loved it. I also run the Cruzr seeker which allows me to sit or lean easily and comfortably.
To call it un deadly because you fall asleep in it has nothing to do with the Drey itself. That is end user induced.
My leg straps would come loose also but I have the newer wider ones and that is also a non issue.
I have no affiliation to Dryad nor am I a fanboy of any one company. I have tried numerous saddles to include the Cruzrs one and two piece, the Latitude one and two piece, the transformer and one custom made one from a member here on site. I only own the dryad and the custom one now.
For long sits or for anyone with back issues from whatever in life you can’t beat the dryad. Yes it is different and scary and old hunters hate change, but try one out. If you don’t like it, send it back.
