I found this worked awesome for me this year. Extremely efficient, less weight, less time to get set up.. just wondering if anyone else does this ? I used a couple EWO sticks with aiders on each stick

I wish I had more confidence in being low. I know guys do it all the time. It’s just in my head. What aiders see you using?

I tried to mainly focus on cover this year rather than getting up super high...most of my hunts where right around the 10-12 ft mark and I couldn't believe it my self but i didn't get busted one time. I just used a single aider on each stick...Im a fairly athletic guy so I stretch em when I need too. I am considering a moveable aider for next season too add to my arsenal if I feel the need to get up a little higher

I'm thinking of just using two mini sticks with aiders for my hang on and then two for my saddle setup. That way I don't need two sets of sticks to have two set ups ready to hunt. I hate switching them between the two.

That’s a good idea….my main reason I started just using two sticks was I got my father a saddle and let him use my other two EWO sticks ..so after a couple hunts and realizing how efficient it was I rolled with it and I don’t see my self going back to using more than two

I’ve always wanted to try to add an EWO ultimaider to my platform and dropping a stick. Seems like in my area I need the height to get to the cover. Maybe I’m just not picking the right trees to get lower in.

Ive looked at that aider a couple times...its tough man so many different options. It was super weird not being around 20 ft up but I really relied on cover and wind.

I might just have to buy one. I’d like to find someone who has done it! What state are you from if it’s okay to ask? Do the trees there offer cover lower?

I have a set of 4 sticks...

I think they're terrible!
It takes me twice as long to get half way to where I wanna be.

I didn’t hunt with sticks for long but when I did I did use an aider that I could move up to each stick as I went along. It was built to throw over the top of the stick and the two steps would hang below my cable aider. 2 sticks I could get to 14-16’. Cable aiders on each with the move as you go aider.

Are you one sticking? What r you using then good sir?

Yeah, one-sticking.
I bought the sticks I have after I already learned to one-stick and it is soo much more screwing around.
I can climb a tree faster with nothing than with a set of sticks...

Well, I should also mention that I'm very proficient with spikes too...

For real though, I practiced with them one day a lot. Put 'em away because of the 'fiddle factor' and didnt get them out again until one day when it had rained most of the day and i wanted to climb a tree but didn't feel like getting soaked.

I bet with that beard you got you could looze BOTH sticks if you added an aider to the platform and then you could climb to whatever height you want... ;)

The beard is fake… jkjk haha so it’s a normal thing for guys to add aiders to platforms?

I wish I had more confidence in being low. I know guys do it all the time. It’s just in my head. What aiders see you using?

I have this paranoia too.

...Despite tons of close up and personal ground experience where deer have no clue I'm there.

Just feel like if I'm going to climb a tree, I should be maximizing the advantages of doing so.

Probably need to change my thinking, but it's hard.

Especially, when time afield is limited and getting winded once could be all she wrote for my season.

Yea it’s rough! I definitely can see the benefits of two sticks for mobility. How fast and easy it would be to setup and maybe move to another location if you see the need. I just don’t see how guys are getting 15’ with two sticks. I need to do some backyard playing I guess.
I also wish I could get over it on the ground too. I just don’t have any confidence I feel like I’m gonna get busted for sure. Then once my confidence is gone I have a hard time staying there.
