Anyone in the loop on the Backwoods Carry System (BCS). It's mentioned in the Haul-all description. "Coming soon"

It's faster, better pictures, new and improved.
The definition of new and improved is; we finally got one that works, we think!

I've not bought a cellular trail camera yet. I'm in the market and am looking and almost bought a three cam Reveal XB package they have going under a discount program I qualify for but have hesitated for some reason. Some guys seem to really like them others like you seem to not so much. My jury is still out on this one.

The cell cams can be useful when access is limited, but I've found they also tend to really take the fun out of it for me. I always enjoy going to pull cards from the cameras to check out weeks or sometimes months worth of pics. Having them pumped to my phone each day is kind of a kill joy if you can believe that. I use them very sparingly, and only when needed. Out of 20+ cams that I run, only three are cell cams and I try to keep it that way.

Same here. Gotta put boots on the ground. I learn just as much from checking the cameras as I do from the pics.

So I was a spy point guy and still have 5 of them. However, since they killed 3G two of them are now dumb cameras and there is no way to know battery status. I have one Tactacam XB and really like it. I can see battery, and even point the camera properly with no cellular signal.

Thus far my tactacam has never fallen offline where my spy points are always falling offline. I'm a tactacam guy now although I admit the spy point app is better than the tactacam app.

As far as the other people commenting on preferring to check their cameras manually, to each their own, but I've been burnt too many times by dumb cameras failing and me not knowing about it until months later. I prefer to get the standard quality pics via cellular and then occasionally go pull a card for HD pics. In season I can just request the HD pic via cellular.
