New Gear for 2023, Go!

FYI Marsupial Upland Bird Bag fits the K4 frame pretty nicely with just a few minor tweaks. I'm going to play with it some more but might be my early season/shed hunting setup. I'll keep the 5000 for colder hunts when im packing bibs, jacket, layers, etc.The total weight of frame and bird bag is 4.8 lbs with side pocket and Nalgene holder...feels like nothing on my back.

So when you’re buying EXO’s do they come with the frame for each or can you interchange like Kifaru’s system?

As BTaylor said, you can buy one bag/frame combo up front and then buy extra bags and swap them. That is what I plan do with once they release the 1800 bag. If you're rich like Camelclutch, you could buy two full systems, but most people don't. It's really easy to swap bags. Exo have a video on that up:

Just got FedEx notice that my pack should arrive this Wednesday. Excited!!! :)

It can be compressed with side buckles and from the bottom with added webbing. I'm not decided on how I'm going to connect it yet. There's a few options and I'll have to play with them to figure which I prefer.

I'm also not sure how I'm going to fun the top attachment. Chances are the autolocks are coming off though.

XOP sticks were mentioned to be 1.5lbs each and $180 for a four pack. Good price for the weight.

This guy weighs them in at 1lb 10.7oz “with tape”. He could have a prototype and I have no idea how much his tape weighs, but I’ll be interested in the actual weight once they start to sell. Still a good price for the weight either way.

Just an FYI. Looks like XOP updated the weight on their website from the original advertised 1.5lbs to 1.625lbs. Not a huge difference but worth the note imo.

Feels like Christmas even though it’s 25C+ this week. My Exo K4 pack arrived (gorgeous!) and today my Argali trekking poles and Stealth Serac knife camp.

Talk about a “new gear fix” or what?

Happy, happy!

You aren’t lying. Argali makes awesome gear and their poles support my 240lb butt out west.
The K4 pack is amazing. Absolutely should win some awards for innovation and comfort. I love mine.

Wowzers! Enjoy that gear! How far north are you? I'm about half way up Michigan's lower peninsula and we were around 84!°F today, very warm for this time of year. Although about this time last year we hit around 80°F opening weekend for turkey

Not too sure about the FHF. I hate adding pockets. Why the heck do I have add a pouch for wind checker? Not too sure about the harness either. But good to see options.

I have no affiliation to any company and love options. I am sure the Kifaru one, FHF, Alaska Guide Creations, Marsupial gear and mystery ranch and Sitka models all appeal to someone out there.
I am assuming the ability to add or not add pockets on the FHF gear model is to give the end user the ability to set up their harness how they want. Maybe they don’t want a wind checker pocket. Or (I am left handed) it gives that individual the option to put it on the side that works best ergonomically. Or if want to change it up from season to season and add and delete or re configure your set up how you see fit.

Additionally, FHF will release an awesome day pack that attaches directly to the bino harness. It is an awesome set up.

I want to check out the Kifaru setup as well for sure.

Here is another option to further confuse you on what to get.
