Just came across this stand too. Very interesting idea and have been waiting for someone to come out with a product specifically for hybrid, like many of us have I’m sure. The tiny bucket seat is interesting. Reminds me of my kids little toy excavator for their sand box. This stand interests me most mainly just to see if any other companies are going to release a hybrid specific stand. Looking particularly at you OOAL :).

There was a member @FletchDeep who was using the OOAL ‘lil Ambush as a hybrid. He did a video on it, and was a pretty enterprising fellow.

Since “Hybrid“ has become more of a thing, a crowd has been pleading for something specific to that style. I applaud Novix for answering that mail.

It’s just in execution, it isn’t quite there for me.

Could I kill deer from it, no doubt.

Agreed. Yeah I was using my beast stand as a hybrid until it walked out of my life forever earlier this season. Now I went back to the Novix Helo and plan to use that as a hybrid.

Yeah I applaud Novix for answering the call too. I don’t think I’ll be buying it either but glad they’re getting the ball rolling. Definitely could kill deer from it though. I just want to “love” my gear too. As much as it shouldn’t be, it is part of the fun of deer hunting for me.

From OOAL I’m kind of hoping for some kind of iteration of the RRXL as a hybrid setup. Or a lil ambush variant could be cool too.

No shame in it.

Starting to really like my gear has made me spend too much, but it made me learn a lot and think about things more. I'm now the most mobile and most comfortable I've ever been. Tweaking my clothing system and pack has been huge. I'm twice as comfortable as I used to be.

It’s called the Raider Hybrid Treestand. It’s just a different slant on using a treestand and a saddle.

With a hybrid setup, you want it to be a treestand. And you want it to work in concert with a saddle.

There are no rules. It’s what works for the hunter. I’m picking a different tool, personally.

But, this idea has been pitched about here on saddlehunter.com. Platform + post + rut roost. They kind of got all that with the bonus of a mesh seat.

It’s just they put cables where I like to operate and I’m not going to lose that zone to earn a saddlehunting badge.

Is the Elevate Ultra new? New to me, sorry if it was out already. Only 6.2 pounds

23' stand. Haven't seen it talked about much. Looks flexy to me at my weight and little too thin material wise for me after owning a Beast stand. Do like their treestand suspension system though. Don't own it but looks like one of the nicest I've seen.

Their treestand suspension system just looks to be a branded TX5 system.

I don’t mean to discourage someone who it would/could/can work for. It’s just not a configuration that appeals to me for what I like in a platform.
You should mean too. I do. It is the single worst stand design I ever remember. A 1 cheek/knee seat. Cant sit on it and straddle the tree comfortably unless you are in a small tree. Cables where your feet are supposed to be. It's like they asked a group of gender studies students to design a stand while on break at a pride rally.

I don't think the facebook cowboys that can't fathom that the .5 is perfection are going to hop on the hybrid train just cause they moved the cables out of their way.

They're still in the way...
