Yeah, not a huge deal... they work great, but I found myself cursing them late season in the cold with gloves and many layers on. Not because how they worked, but more because they didn't do what they said they would do and what I mean is they stress the hard sell and in my opinion if that's how you're going to sell it then it better be true.

That’s odd. I have an earlier version of the Orion before it was named and has a fixed sewn belt. I’ve had 0 issues with the saddle staying put with dump pouches loaded on my sides and even sticks attached climbing up the tree.

Is yours too big?

Is this because the belt comes loose? In other words, is the belt webbing sliding its way out of the buckle? I’ve had this happen before with different belt and webbing combos since webbing comes in different thicknesses and materials.

I ordered my saddle a few days ago and added the standard pouches. The only reason i was going to go with the XL's was to carry steps but i figured for the few times a year i'll just carry them in a fanny pack. I only carry my lineman, tether, and a couple screw in hangers. These should give me enough room for that and maybe some other stuff i dont' need. I'll let you know how they are when in comes in.

No fits great. The webbing slides thru the buckle. By the time I get to the tree its falling off. Just ordered some no sew buckles to try.

Mine does also. With heavy clothes I like to slide my saddle up higher for the walk in and it is impossible to adjust w/the triglide on it. W/O it the belt will not hold.

I get what you're saying. I always removed the tri-glide on that end because it makes it near impossible to adjust in the field.

The right side of that buckle is typically sewn on and not intended to be easily adjusted - tri-glide accomplishes that without sewing. The left side is the adjustable side and some webbing is too thin or slick and just slides through - I have fixed this in the past on my DIY saddles by sewing a loop of webbing around the middle bar of the slide to make it “thicker”. This increases the friction to help it hold in place. Another way to achieve it is to sew a second length of webbing to the webbing on that side to make the webbing double thickness. Have to experiment to find what works best for the different buckles and webbing.

But if this is an Overwatch saddle then I agree with the guys above - contact Jamie. He’s a standup dude that should help you out.

I think the issue with that Orion (I sold it to Blacksmith) is that the webbing belt is REALLY stiff. I had never seen one like that. My Transformer and early model Orion are not like that at all. My plan with that one was to try to "work" the stiff belt to see if it would losen up, but the bridge loops on that saddle were too wide for me, so I sold it. That belt would stand straight up/out when the saddle was laying flat.

Installed some No Sew Buckles and Happy w/it.

On the tethrd ones, they preach "one hand operation", but once you get them loaded up and all the way zipped open, I found, for me, they were not truly one hand. May be different for others, just my experience. I really liked that setup and the pouches, but ended up selling it to someone that needed one.
If they were to release it in a camo pattern that I liked, I'd be open to buy another one, but what I currently have is pretty well refined for my use and the CGM side pouches were a great upgrade from all the dump pouches I've experimented with. To each their own.

@Chrighton do the CGM pouches fit on any Molle loops? I may want to add them to the APE Canyon Pioneer saddle for this fall and also be able to use them on my waist belt (MG) for Turkey hunting this spring.

Yes, they have the same connection style as the Tethrd sys pouches, EWO, Trophyline. etc.
Kind of like this which is from EWO's website.
