    Truth in advertising

Everything you just posted is true. These are things I’ve told folks that are thinking about getting into saddle hunting. Everyone has a different reason they want to try it. For me it was a weight cutting way for my son to bow hunt with me and still have some mobility. It has worked...

    Mississippi saddle hunters

I’m here. South central part of the state. 2nd year swinging. Still learning, adjusting, swapping for what’s gonna work best for me.

Which saddle has the smallest butt area?

Im in the same boat with chappy. Im about to sell my phantom and try a method or one of the 2 panels. I recently got in a recon and loved it.

    Deer carts

I can get a pic tomorrow but imagine the Greek symbol for Pi. Square tubing welded into that shape. It extends the frame and the wider handle allows for 2 people pulling.

    Deer carts

Ive used this same cart for the last 9 seasons on public in Illinois and Missouri. It has hauled out a lot of big deer over the years. Welded up a handle extension the year we got it. I’ve also been on deer retrieves that involved a sled and hawk crawler. They all have their benefits but for my...

    SYS location?

2nd year in a saddle so take my opionion for what it’s worth. I wear mine just behind the widest points of my hips. 2nd or 3rd set of molle probably. My issue with them being mounted on the first set of molle was that it made me wider walking through the woods. I’m not a small framed human...

    Jealousy is a prison

This is my first year in 5 years to have opening weekend off and I wasn’t so sure it would happen this time. 7on7off has its perks, it ask also has a downside.

    Amsteel Tether and Linemans Belt

I liked the fact that it was light and took up nearly no space in my pouches. It’s adjustable enough for me due to my WS bridge. Not sure if I could make it work with a fixed length bridge.

    Amsteel Tether and Linemans Belt

I’ve ran an 1/4 amsteel daisy chain as a tether most of this season. It works well enough. I have no idea about using it as a LB, would not be stiff enough for me but to each his own

    Adjustable Amsteel bridge

Best I can do at work. I’ll get you a pic hanging from it if needed

    Adjustable Amsteel bridge

I’ve ran a whoopie sling on my clone all year. I like it just as well as my standard amsteel on my mantis. It works for me because I like the ability to set my tether height and adjust my bridge length for what ever position I want to be in *sitting, straddle, leaning. Only issue I have with it...

Thinking of future tweaks to my DIY saddle and DIY JX3

Nothing really. It’s on my clone so that’s the saddle I do the experimenting on. I just can’t help but try something different. It has a slight bump in it where the buries end but that doesn’t really bother me. I just have to tinker.
