Eberlestock tailhook the ultimate saddle pack.

Am I the only hunter who uses his x2 as a knee pad? So far I haven’t had any problems doing that. I just place it directly in front of me low enough that my knees can rest on the bottom half of the pack and it has worked well for me.

How many deer have you killed?

I’m 61 and killed my first at age 12. I’ve hunted every year since then. I keep a record and update it at the end of every season. I live in Tennessee and hunt mostly near home, although I have spent quite a bit of time hunting in Kentucky, which is only 3 miles from home. I’m not as focused on...

Never too old to learn new trick

At age 61 and after 45 years of bow hunting I started saddle hunting this year and completed one goal yesterday. I took my first deer from the saddle, although a doe, I was thrilled to accomplish one of my goals for this season. Saddle hunting is a new and exciting way to get it done.

    EDP is available

I just ordered the EDP Trophyline. I would have already ordered a Mission but after hearing about the EDP I felt it might suit me better. I hope I’m right and don’t end up wanting the Mission too but if that’s the case no real harm done.

    Quiver on or quiver off?

It’s always been quiver on for me. I have no argument either way but I tune my bow and practice the same way so it’s natural for me to hunt that way.

    First bow practice from saddle

I’m 60 years old and have been bow hunting for 45 years. I bought my first saddle late season 2020 after archery season was over in Tennessee so I gun hunted out of the saddle the rest of the season and learned a lot but I hadn’t even shot a bow from the saddle until yesterday when I thought I...

Adding quick release buckle to Trophyline Ambush Lite

I put plastic buckles like you find on most waist belts that adjust from each buckle. I just find them easier to use and also quieter.

Sticks and Aiders - Use Both or Just sticks?

I just started using a saddle late this season so I haven’t settled on any method. I am using 32 in. Lone wolf sticks. I have tried an aider but don’t care much for it. I can carry an extra stick at 2.5 lbs and make up for 2 one step aiders. To me that’s easier than using the aiders. I have 5 of...

Adding quick release buckle to Trophyline Ambush Lite

I would like to replace the waist belt buckle on my ambush lite with a quick release buckle. Has anybody else done that and do you have any suggestions?

New saddle hunter at 60 year old

I’m still collecting gear, today I received a double step for my lone wolf sticks and some versa straps from EWO. If these work well I’ll order some more.

New saddle hunter at 60 year old

Some days I feel exactly like that and then some days reality shows it’s face but I’m gonna do it as long as the good Lord allows me to.

1/2in all thread for tree bolts

I ordered a drill bit for a cordless drill and bolts from treehopper this morning so I won’t have to worry about it. Thanks for all the responses.
