Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

Point taken 131, I don't recommend anyone tear into something like this without knowing how to put it back together to safely function as intended, and if in doubt, don't. My sole purpose was to find it if anyone had done it, I figure I'm at more risk dodging highway traffic than climbing a tree.

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

You guys are funny, but I guess this is really what the country has come to, I asked a yes or no question and get comedy central B roll stuff.... Just for some perspective, I have helped remove and rebuild the main rotor assembly on a Blackhawk helicopter. Once completed I was lucky enough to...

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

Thanks Jake, I realize the time it takes wouldn't be that economical, just exploring options. I will finish the season with my grigri but I don't care for the way it unloads if you take the weight off of it. Madrock.ca website said they don't ship to the US, only Canada. I will try it again...

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

Not sure I agree, it was built by a human being, it's not a spaceship, just metal.

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

Well I have the means to do it, just looking to see if anyone else had done it. I am not advocating you 3D print up a piece and rig it, if I fixed it, I'd climb with it. My grigri gets me down just fine, but all people talk about is madrock.

Convert Lifeguard to Safeguard (Spring Removal)

What can't be done is to buy a safeguard at the moment,, but one can buy a lifeguard. The story is the internal spring is the difference. I have a machine shop, nothing made with metal is a "can't be done" situation, not economical perhaps. I would have have a more compelling answer to be...

    My 1st Saddle kill

I started gathering a saddle and other "kit" last year but this was my first all in sort of season and I have almost exclusively been in a saddle this year except for a few ladder stands and ground sits. October 28th I sent an arrow away that killed my first saddle deer, a nice PA 8 point and I...

    Hawk helium kick out

I run 4 hawk full length sticks with amsteel rope mods, never have them kick, the rope is so much easier to use than the straps, and quiet as a mouse. Had all 4 out in the rain last night and no kick outs on a quaking aspen tree. They gotta be set good and firm. I like mine a lot.

Tethrd T-Clips fraying my straps on Mantis

Anyone else have fraying from the T-clips on a Tethrd Mantis saddle? Both the leg straps that go around my thighs and hook back to my saddle are starting some serious fraying. I been looking at it and the radii on the slots on these t-clips are not deburred very well to be honest. Full...

    Hunt Stand vs On X

I've noticed that zoom out with Huntstand too, yes it is a pain for sure.

    Hunt Stand vs On X

Does Gaia have a trial version? I use Huntstand and like that it comes with all states GIS info for the same price, OnX charged per state when I looked into it, hunting multiple states was cheaper with Huntstand. OnX is marketed way better, but I have had run in with boundary information being...
