Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

I found it much harder than he does. Tried to send it back. He won’t take it except at a very reduced refund price.

    JX3 one stick

I was thinking about putting a cam cleat on that stick but after trying their cleat i changed my mind. It works very well. It is my favorite one stick because the top bar is so solid and comfortable.

    Dedicated platform vs on-stick platform

Yes. That is what I use. Like it better than ewo with flat scout. Makes a solid platform for feet.

    Rope retrieval/bow tow suggestions?

There is a way better way than using a separate pull down rope. After you get to hunting height , make your tether into the JRB exploding hitch. Rappel down and explode that hitch off the tree. 40ft of good rope for the tether/rappel and tie a weaker rope like paracord to the pull-down end...

    Treehopper ros

I have used treehopper ros and one other brand and the treehoppers are best. Their OCB works well too.

It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

JX3 with wide top bar is my go to one stick now. Very solid and no need for platform or ring of steps.

    I was dumb...

I’ve had to go back up the tree 3 times to retrieve the rope because the separate pull down rope failed or it got stuck. Now I use JRB exploding hitch. Works very well.

    JX3 single stick

Anyone try Jx3 single stick for one sticking and using the top bar for a platform?

Need ideas to get stuff up to height

I tie my ros to the left linesman saddle loop. I’d wear the backpack. Using tether all the way up and for pull up rope works best for me. JRB exploding hitch to retrieve rapell/tether rope is great.

Best friction hitch for climbing and set?

I would classify John as a guy who wants to share his knowledge and help us out. He knows many are saddle hunting without much tree climbing experience. I want him to continue posting any way he wants. I’ve learned a lot from him. He makes it safer too.

Honestly, is remote releasing of rappel line that big of a deal?

I have had to go back up the tree 3 times for a stuck rope. Also pulling the rope down and putting it away takes too much time and is sometimes hard sometimes easy. The Jrb exploding hitch solved all that.

Equivocation Hitch for rappel rope retrieval

The JRB exploding hitch works really well and no need for retrieval rope. It is the best thing I took from JRB methods.

    Method 2 Issue?

That amsteel binds so tight you have great difficulty doing adjustments. I took mine off and put on JRBs adjustable bridge on instead. Much better.

    Burris Oracle X

I used that scope for one full season last year. Mounted on a Excalibur which shoots about 370 fps. Shot several deer with it. Works well. Eats batteries for some reason. On my third. Very heavy. Don't like the balance feel of the xbow with it on. Not sure it's worth it.

    The JRB Climbing Method

Would you feel comfortable using sterling 6mm accessory cord for your saddle bridges tied the way you show so it is doubled? I weigh same as JRB. Thanks
