Anyone hang their cameras high in the tree?

I have camouflaged my cameras for a while now as well, but have not hanged them up high, although I have thought about it. But this thread convinced me, I'll do it this year. Good thread.

    Silent Approach Steps

Thanks for the review. I have WE steps but I have only used them once (for tree stand not saddle) and was not real fond of using them. I have been thinking of alternatives. Have you used other climbing methods for saddle hunting? Could you compare? Sounds like you wanted the lone wolf sticks...

    2019 Idaho Elk

I went on my first backcountry elk hunt last year in Colorado so I am no expert, but this is the short version of what I learned. 1. Buy the best gear you can afford, for 2. And for me this was most important, Your sleep system (at least for me) is no place to save money, buy what makes you...

Thanks, I hope I am smiling about it next season as well. I have a some friends that are almost anti saddle, but the more I talk with them them seem anti adventure altogether. They might as well quit hunting now.

    Bowhunting from Ground- True Mobile

I hunted from the ground a fair amount last fall. I really did enjoy it. I had young bucks at 8- 10 yds with them not having a clue, but the does would know something wasn't right 60 yds away and we would have the staring contest and I would always lose. It is a hobby for us and life and death...

Thanks for the advice. When I do get my gear I was planning on practicing as much as possible. Got any advice on selecting trees, as in safe vs. unsafe (other than size of course)

Greetings saddlehunter crew. I have been watching this site for a while and joined recently. This is my first post, ever, I am not a " forum" guy. I have never saddle hunted either but with all the great information I have seen so far I am inspired. I plan on ordering a mantis this weekend...
