I am sure someone is using this method to 2T/C but, I just wanted to thank John for his work. Since I have incorporated his JRB cinch on both tethers I can climb much easier. Tether advancements are quick set the main tether high using a collapsing walking stick, I can get my main line 11 to 12 feet from the start. Then just move my second tether as I climb keeping line slack out of main line. Once I reach the top main ,advance with the pole and start climbing. I can get nearly 20 plus feet with only two moves of the main tether. Using the JRB has made me more efficient in 2T/C climbing. The JRB cinch is so easy to advance the second tether it's crazy. Using the pole to set my main line two or three times is faster than moving both as you climb. Just wanted to see if anyone else is using the JRB cinch this way. The repelling ring with a caribinner as a toggle has made me a believer in 2T/C!
