    Turning down the poundage

sounds like you need to twist the cables up a couple turns. Measure brace height, and ata. I’m guessing you have a bit of string/cable stretch.

    Knee pad arc’teryx question

I’m running the knockoffs. They work great. Granted I’ve only had them for a few sits since far. I don’t use them all the time. Mainly when I climb with one stick. I’m much more of a leaner when I’m up in the tree.

    Mountainbike Mods?

Ok, you probably won’t like this, but I’m gonna be honest. I would rather walk. That bike is ridiculously heavy, and has the lowest of low end components. All which are prone to break, and not work properly. If you are just riding down a pavement bike path go for it, but as soon as you...

Want To Get Into Bow Hunting

Go to your local shop and spend a some time with one of the employees. Pay for a lesson if they have rental bows, if not ask to shoot a few new ones. Find out your draw length, and what you like and dislike, along with the weight you are comfortable with. If they don’t charge you take them a...

    Long bow ?

That sage is a sweet shooter for the money. A buddy of mine picked one up , and I was really impressed by it. We put a better string on it, and it has been awesome.

    Long bow ?

Best thing you can do is shoot as many as you can. I thought I wanted a Hill style bow, and ended up hating it. Ended up loving a more reflex reflex style longbow. Everyone is different, and all bows shoot different. Find some trad guys in your area and try to shoot their bows. Most people that...

    Thinking about a lever action

A lever can do it, and if you want one that’s the best reason to get one. Enjoy.

About ready to call it quits

I feel your pain. It was a rough season about a decade ago that made me give up deer hunting for the most part. I am just now getting back into archery hunting. If your bow is broken, maybe that new bow will be enough to get you fired up to shoot it more.

    Carbon fiber sticks

A set of carbon sticks would be great, but I don't think they would save enough weight to justify the cost, along with the number of sticks that a company would need to sell to recoup design, and testing cost would make them a tough product to bring to the table.

    New from Ohio

Just getting back into bowhunting. Been shooting target. 3d, and indoor with compound, and trad gear, for a long time. Figured I would make the time to get back into the woods more, and the saddle seemed way like a way better option than my current climber having in the garage. I ordered the...
