    Coyote advice wanted

I have permission to bow hunt a wooded 25 acre property near my house that’s part of 100+\- acres of woods surrounded by subdivisions. This year I’ve barely seen any deer and no turkey which is odd compared to previous years. This morning I had 3 does run through about 100 yards off being chased...

Any A frame pop-up owners here?

Was wondering if anyone else here used an A frame style pop up for their mobile hunting cabin. I bought my Aliner Ranger12 three years ago and it’s probably been the best money I’ve ever spent on hunting gear. At the time I was about to DIY a cargo trailer for the same use but the wife insisted...

    Selling stands

Just started saddle hunting and I’m hooked. After a successful first hunt in my Cruzr I made the decision to unload my climber and multiple ladder stands since it’s the time of year they command top dollar. Hunting buddies all think I’m nuts but to me it’s kinda like Cortez burning his ships so...

    Solo Scout opinions

For guys that use it what’s your opinion? I’m currently using a ridge runner but since I lean 90% of the time I find myself just using the edge of it. 5’9” 210 pounds size 11 boot if that matters. Ditching 2 pounds and a bit of bulk sounds appealing.

    Ropeman 1

Campman.com has the blue ropeman 1’s for the usual $45ish. Enter your email for a 20% off code for first time customers (believe it was FIRST20OFF). Free shipping for orders over $50 and they didn’t charge me sales tax. Total was $71.xx for 2.

Advice for someone new to sticks

New to saddle hunting this year, I’ve used a climber the last 10 years and never used sticks. I have (4) 20” heliums and (4) 30” heliums. When practicing the only issue I have problems with hanging sticks. I find myself fumbling with the straps and I’m not looking forward to doing it in the...

    Missouri Managed Deer Hunts

Results posted today. Anyone else apply? I got drawn the very first time I applied years ago but nothing since. I’m up to 7 or 8 preference points. I was hoping with all the new bow hunts being offered in St Louis county the odds would be better but my group struck out again.

    Critique my rut plan

Will be hunting in northern Missouri this year and have a handful of vacation days to work with. Plan as of now is to work that first Monday in November and then take the rest of the week off. Figure I’ll vote Tuesday morning and then leave town. Not 100% sold on the lunar theories surrounding...

    Arrow fletching jig?

Wondering if the Bitzenburger jig is worth the premium over options from Bohning and the Arizona EZ jig. This winters project is going to be a heavy arrow build and unfortunately my local bow shop just closed permanently so I lost the local source for getting shafts cut and fletched. I’m not too...

    New guy from Missouri

Thanks for the add, I’ve been lurking for a bit and finally decided I should join. This will be my first year saddle hunting. I have a Cruzr XC, Ridge Runner, Wild Edge steps and 20” Helium’s (haven’t settled on climbing method yet). I hunt public land in Missouri, primarily in the north East...
