Looking for some help, my upper thread keeps twisting and breaking. I’m using a schmetz serv7 size 18 and have same result with terra 40 and a tex90. I did pretty many projects with the terra 40 and this needle without any issues, I’m not sure what changed.

Couch got delivered in a “sock” made from some type of felt or fleece, thick enough that I can’t tear it by hand. Not sure what I’m going to do with it yet but I cut it apart from all the plastic and it’s going on my fabric pile.
