    New Gear for 2023, Go!

Those 1.5lb XOP sticks are $179/4pk. I love all the new stick options coming out. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger the other day on 4 beast mini’s, hard to justify paying $150 more. But I do think the standoffs on the beast sticks would work better on really small diameter trees.

    New Gear for 2023, Go!

Pretty sure they have one hanging off the bottom step in the photos I have seen like on their IG. But I prefer cables over amsteel. If I buy them, I won’t be running any aiders. I’ll carry 3 or 4 of these with 2-3 of my shikar minis with cable aiders in case I need the extra height.

    New Gear for 2023, Go!

I’m really liking the price point of the Latitude sticks. My only concern is how they bite on various trees with different bark styles and super small diameter trees that I seem to find myself in often in marsh/swamp settings

Sticks and Aiders - Use Both or Just sticks?

I just picked up 3 shikar minis and made three 2 step aiders and a single 3 step aider in case I want to use it on the bottom stick. I am tired of carrying my full length hawk helium sticks and when folded down they are only 16in in length. If I don’t like them I can always sell them without...

    Amsteel Multi Step Aiders

I understand. I took the 1/8 continuous loops and ran them through hose so it would be better on the feet. I know knots will reduce strength, but was planning to run the ends of the loops through the main line like you did in the photo. Only way to know if it will hold is to make one and test it...

    Amsteel Multi Step Aiders

thoughts on this design with 1/8 instead of 3/16. I have 75 feet of 1/8 but wasn’t sure if it would be strong enough for this design. I need to make 3 three step aiders so making a daisy chain like your new workhorse is out of the question because if I am going to order more to do that I might...

    Storing Amsteel 2 Step Aiders

Maybe take a look at Red Beards work. I would run some shock cord in a loop through the amsteel to wrap around it and keep it secure

    Shikar Mini

Have had a few beverages, but good enough to have just ordered 3 mini’s. Only problem is I hit order and realized I didn’t add any attachment method. I have some spare lone wolf straps or I can use my amsteel from hawk heliums

    Shikar Mini

I made the post above on Tuesday with plans of waiting until the next sale and bam! They announced a New Years 15% off sale today. I’ll be ordering 3 minis in the morning/afternoon depending on the hangover!

    Rope Aider Questions.

thanks for posting! I’ll probably use some cut lifeline rope from an old stand purchase and feed that through the webbing for the steps.

    Rope Aider Questions.

Can’t tell but did you tie the same knots with the webbing? Trying to decide if I should use the webbing I have or if I should try 5mm titan dyneema or even amsteel with your knots but bury the tag ends of the steps into the continuous loop.

    Shikar Mini

I’m planning on picking up 2, maybe a 3rd and will go with a 3 step amsteel aider if I go with 2 or a 2 step aider if I go with 3 mini sticks. I seldom go higher than 12-15 feet as it is. With proper spacing on a 3 step aider, I should be able to get to that height with just 2 minis.

Do you have a spare bow?

After I had a rifle issue a few years back and didn’t have a back-up and had to borrow someone else’s(killed with it the next day!) I decided I would always have extra of guns and bows just in case. I have my Triax, HTR and a mission venture. Neither of the backups are dialed in. The mission is...

    Ridge Runner

If you look, you can see that there is still room in the grooves even with the paracord. I quickly set it up in the tree and with my bald tennis shoes it was still gripping. I might get it up in the tree tomorrow morning for a quick hunt and will report back

    Ridge Runner

as you can see, it’s a pretty basic cross-cross. The grooves are deep enough that the paracord fits down in there

    Ridge Runner

Mine came in this morning. I already started to do an easy wrap in paracord. The finish is rough and I wanted to cut down on it so that it doesn't snag my backpack. I love it so far and I haven't even hung it in a tree! The grip from that rough finish(maybe bedliner) is going to be fantastic...
