    DIY summit openshot

OK, I finally got some time over the holiday weekend to test the summit climbing option. I climbed two different trees with it and them climbed the same two trees with my hawk helium sticks. My hawk sticks are the new style which I removed the cam buckle and added a rope for a Chinese knot...

    DIY summit openshot

    Tethrd mantis

Np, believe me I am certainly not trying to stir up a hornet's nest I only asked because I contacted tethrd and couldn't get an answer. Anyway thanks for the heads up. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Tethrd mantis

I simply asked a question on another post to other guys and gals about wait times and my post was locked out no sooner than I ask. I am very excited to get mine but still waiting like alot of others and wondering why the question was killed. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    DIY summit openshot

Yea, I forgot to post it. 10lbs with wooden platform, so I would guess 7 with expanded aluminum metal. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

I agree its big, I plan to cut it down and really make it look a lot different.

    DIY summit openshot

I guess it's all personal preference. I think its quicker and quieter than climbing sticks and alot easier to adjust height on the fly. Transportation is easy, just use the cable as a shoulder strap and it keeps it close to your body and it reduces your profile traveling in the woods. In reality...

    DIY summit openshot

I think a plate will work fine and possibly cut some weight, but if this works well I plan to tig expanded aluminum metal to the frame like most millennium tree stands have. I hunt alot from millennium m100U stands with expanded metal platforms and they are dead silent with no possibly of...

    DIY summit openshot

Ok. It was raining all weekend here last week so decided to do a DIY climber for the tethrd. Its certainly a prototype for testing. I know there are some using the lone wolf hand climber but I do like the bigger platform. I will post more when my tethrd arrives. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Sitka subalpine

I cant say how they would be with briars, I hunt mainly white oak plantations and its open without much brush. the Apex is certainly the quietest pant they offer in big game. I had the mountain pant and they are loader and the material drags across limbs and such.
