    Original sand cast lone wolf

You want .125" thick tubing. If you want to use the seat as is then I don't think you can use a batwing. I believe the seat teeth will stick out past it. If it locks down well as is then you should be ok.

    Original sand cast lone wolf

I just use a LW versa button with a cam buckle strap. No reason why diy buttons won't work. I only use 1 strap and kneel on the seat to cam lock the stand but that won't work if you leave the teeth on the seat. If you leave it as is, in my mind I would tighten the strap, push down on the stand...

    Original sand cast lone wolf

I've been down that road, here's what I did to mine. I bought a piece of 1.25" square tubing and made my own seatpost. This way I can use a batwing. Takes a bit of tinkering to figure out exactly where you want the notches, depends on your cable length. Here is my finished product. I don't...

    Lone Wolf Seat platform help

Nice looking platform. I also have paracord around the perimeter of mine in a cobra weave and I really like the feel of it so far.

What is your preferred step aider for Helium or other sticks and why?

So if I understand correctly, you're stepping up onto the platform, Dave. As a newbie to saddle hunting I was thinking I would benefit from setting my platform even with my top step so I could use it as another step to move around the tree. Or have you found that to not be a help?

    WTB Lone Wolf Assault

No problem man, it's still a great mobile stand. I have one just like it that I modded and really like.

    WTB Lone Wolf Assault

Since this is the classified section, I have to ask. ;)Is that seat for sale?

    WTB Lone Wolf Assault

If you look at your first picture the back of the seat at one time had a v like the platform has. Somebody cut that v off and installed a versa button and standoff. Depending on when it was made, it could have been manufactured with the standoff and the seat with teeth both though. I believe...

    WTB Lone Wolf Assault

No, they weigh close to 10 with the strap. They're great since you can get 2 saddle platforms out of 1 stand if the seat is intact. Looks like yours got the axe at some point.

    this has potential

I'm going to be changing siding on my house in the near future. Just picked it up on Saturday, in fact. I was wondering how I'll do the gable ends since I don't have a lift or scaffolding. Problem solved! :tearsofjoy:

    False Advertising Hilarity

Dan is bucking that trend with his Hunting Beast Gear. But one could argue that by the time most guys on here are done modding their stuff it's actually lighter than advertised.:)

Does anyone NOT like the Predator?

No problem man. When you mentioned using a LW batwing I knew I'd seen it somewhere and I was able to find it pretty quick.

Does anyone NOT like the Predator?

I don't have the predator and I've never hunted out of a saddle, so I may be totally wrong here, but when I set my treestand I always kneel on the seat and lift the platform with my toe to really tighten it down. It looks like the predator fastens to the tree basically the same way as a stand...
