I purchased a cheap thin fleece blanket from academy sports. The dimensions where 50" x 60". I cut the blanket in half, 50" x 30". I folded this in half with the stretch of the fleece running front to back. I then folded the blanket like an accordion. I used 8 mm climbing rope as the...

    Accessory Holder for tree?

I purchased a pine ridge archery gear hanger from amazon. It is cheap plastic, light weight, and packs well. I hang my bow and back pack from it. They have gone up in price, I paid about $7 a few months ago. https://www.amazon.com/Pine-Ridge-Archery-Hunt-n-Gear-Equipment/dp/B003GV8FF2

Not pretty but works, DIY strap on steps

One safety concern would be a squirrel chewing through the cord. Squirrels are very destructive critters. I have seen where they have chewed through aluminum wire that holds up chain link fencing. I would never climb without being tethered to the tree.

    Fleece saddle solution?

My fleece saddle is a blanket folded in half. I placed a piece of foam between the two layers. I hand stitched the edge in a few places to keep the foam from falling out. The foam keeps the fleece from bunching up.

Trying out a mesh sit drag

This is my fourth DIY saddle project. Started with a simple fleece hammock seat, then a fleece saddle, and next was mesh saddle. I liked the features of the mesh saddle but it wasn't comfortable. To get halfway comfortable I would have to loosen the waist belt and leg straps and pull the seat...

I like this saddle. I made it a couple of months ago. I have not hunted out of it yet. I live in the south where the temperatures have been extremely warm so far. I hope to try it out as soon as the weather cools. My other DIY saddle is mesh.
