Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

@woodsdog2 yes I nock tuned each arrow. It was the first time I tried it and was a amazed at the difference it makes but didn't fix my issue. I spent some more time tinkering and have settled on leaving it where it is. My QAD is maxed out away from the riser and my IQ is maxed to the left but...

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

Thanks for info @raisins. I look into it.

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

How difficult is it to shim cams and what's the basic process? Closest good pro shop is over an hour away but I do have access to a press to do it myself.

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

Broadheads hit 3"-4" left of field points. I might have to get a new sight that has more adjustment to the left if I keep the rest where it is to sight in for broadheads but that's probably the best option at this point.

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

This is not the first time I've set it up. I'm the original owner but have never been able to get it perfect. I've just gotten it fairly close and adjusted my sight further left than it should be to compensate. Hunting scenarios at 30 yards and in haven't been an issue. I've just sighted in...

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

Cam lean is what I'm afraid of. I'm confident the rest is timed correctly and used baby powder to check for fletching contact and tried low-pro heat vanes to be sure. The string bisects the cam groves and rest perfectly. The pin would probably be just to left but I'm out of adjustment with...

Elite Hunter shooting bare shaft bullet holes with center shot at over an inch!?!?

Need some advice from someone smarter than me. I've got an Elite Hunter that shoots bare shaft bullet holes through paper with the center shot at about 1 1/8". Anyone else have this issue? My QAD is maxed out. What could the problem be? It's a 28.5" draw at 69lbs. It does this with 29" axis...

    weismans ozone unit

@wayne r That looks awesome! Wish I had a 3d printer. What ozone cell did you use? I've been contemplating a new and smaller design. @Pyronole I'm using a POWERADD pilot pro 2 23000mah power bank from amazon. I just keep it in my pack and run the cord up to unit.

    DIY Field Ozone Unit

Awesome. Wish I had a 3d printer to improve the case. Post it when you're done. Good luck.

    DIY Field Ozone Unit

Honestly I think it worked great. I have no plans to change anything.

    Turkey Broadheads

Biggest mechanical you can find in a front deploying design. Less pass throughs. Keeps the head flopping around inside doing damage on a less than stellar shot when they run or fly off. Spitfire gobbler getters have been good for me.

    Packless setup

@Waylon mark Just checked out the badlands bino case. That might be on my upgrade list for 2020. Pretty sweet.

Caught with your “pants down”? Awkward yet successful hunts.

@boyne bowhunter I have a similar on to your second...It was NOV 5th of '18 and a morning hunt in a lock on. It was about 11am and hadn't had much action. Was hunting on a hillside down a little from the crest which wasn't ideal because the deer were almost eye level coming over the hill even...

    Warmest gloves out there?

@Dewey agreed. Good hand warmer muff can't be beat. Spend a little money here. As tempting as it may be, don't get the one with the plastic screen that you can "see" your phone thru. It fogs up so you can't see and isn't warm. Thin gloves 90% of the time with manzella convertible gloves over...

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

Do you run the heat vanes in a 3 or 4 fletch? I shot strikers for a year and wasn't super impressed with their flight with blazers in 3 fletch. I've shot Axis arrows for somewhere around 8 years. Love them. You're right, they are tough to break.

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

I havent shot them but I want to like them. In theory they are awesome. I can't get past replacing them all the time tho. I know ease of replacement is a selling point but not something want to mess with.

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

This thread really took a turn from "what vanes to use" but I'm loving it. Lots of good info in here.

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

This gets me thinking...I don't believe the HIT inserts are threaded all the way through to use these weights (could be wrong). However, if I buy the brass HIT inserts, I could push the 25gr break off part in from the nock and epoxy in place to offset the rear weight. May have to test some...

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

If I go to a 4 fletch and lighted nocks and add roughly 25-30 grains to the rear, is there a way to add weight to the front without trying to replace inserts and still use my 125gr slick tricks? Thinking a sleeve or extension if there is such a thing. I won't be building heavy arrows with...

    Arrow Build. Vanes?

I won't be destroying them on purpose. Meant critters and 3Ds. I've thought about FOBs but didn't think they were great for fix blade heads. I wish I would have throw in brass inserts to get more foc but too late now. Also worried about being underspined if I add more weight to these. I'm...
