2 panel comfort?

2 panel Latitude Method
5'8"
160 lbs
30" waist
Lean machine
I prefer a small gap between top and bottom of about 1-1.5". I also prefer tether around neck/chest and a shorter bridge of 7" or so.

6'3", 315, 44 waist. Had a AH Merlin, it was ok but not as comfortable as I wanted. I have a method 2xl now and it's way better. But just like anything, sitting for 8 hours is going to eventually be uncomfortable, I like the ability of slightly shifting it for comfort that I just couldn't seem to get with the Merlin.

I'm 155 lbs, 6' with a 30" waist. I prefer 2 panel saddles, but I started with a single panel and had nothing against it.

Well, there went my theory, haha. Interesting though that responses were either to prefer a 2 panel or no preference, no outright single panels. Super limited data set of course, but still interesting.

6' 185#, Single panel only, prefer single panel expandable. Here's your missing data point. :)

My problem with two panels is no matter how you place the panels you have four straps wrapping around your hips. The two center straps become uncomfortable on my hips regardless of position of the panels, bridge length, tether height, etc.

Padded saddle panels really offsets that.

My two main saddles are the cruiser XC and latitude method 2. Both are top of the line and extremely comfortable, (in my unprofessional opinion) but for my bad lower back the method 2 is more comfortable for extended periods of sits because I can fine-tune the adjustment for where the pressure is hitting me and make slight adjustments throughout my sit. I also have a JX3 and while it is excellent, my lower back does not appreciate it as much as the adjustability with the two panel saddles. I believe the bottom line is whatever your body agrees with the most.
