The wife wants to go hunting with me this year so I took her out and let her play in my fleece saddle At ground level yesterday. She is not a fan of it and when she saw me hang my sticks and climb up she basically said no chance she is doing that. This presents an opportunity for me to justify the cost of a 2 man blind, but I’ve never actually had one before. Any recommendations? Criteria are:

-fit two average sized people shooting bows
-non permanent as I move every 2-3 years and hunt public It will be in place for the duration of the season.
-water “proof” (don’t want her to get drenched day one of her hunting experience in south Louisiana). Also want somewhere for me to go On the nastier days
-about $200 max

thanks

The barronet ox 5 can be had for about 250 shipped. The bigger the better in my experience. That is my favorite of all I have used. I have one from cabelas called the zonz 360 xl, it's ok. The barronet is just better.

When you’re buyin a blind pick out the biggest one you can afford, then save up for a size bigger. Somehow they’re always smaller in the woods than they are in bass pro

Thanks for the pointers, I’ll keep looking at them. I ran across summit vipers and cobras while looking but can’t seem to find much info on them outside of the places selling them.
Also, as a general question, how long do these things last if I leave them out all season then tear down after? Are they like one year investments?

I have a ameristep pop up 2 person and I'm not able to draw my bow without either sticking the arrow ou the window or rubbing my elbow on th e back wall.....go big. I lost an opportunity on a doe at under 15yds cause my elbow rubbed and she heard the noise and run off.

I've had the baronett for four seasons now. I didn't use it last year. The other three its been out in Illinois or Oklahoma, my dad has one that's going strong on 4 years out open to close in Oklahoma. They're both fine, just normal wear. They are also a much heavier material than most. I'm not affiliated or anything, I've just wasted a lot of time and headache on inferior blinds. I can stand in the ox 5 and I'm 6 foot on the dot.

I use Barronett Big Mike blinds and let me tell you they are one tough blind. I set one up in an open pasture for my wife every year and several times have had to retrieve it from the woods a couple hundred yards away after a really strong wind pulled the stakes out that anchored it. I now use foot long metal screw in stakes to secure it with no problems. I usually put it out around the 2nd week of October for our November gun season and leave it out until muzzle loading is over in mid December. With abuse like that I still get 3 to 4 years out of them. Not sure what they are going for now but I think I paid about $160 last time I bought one a couple of years ago. I buy mine from Sportsman's Guide.

The thing I like about Primos double bull blinds are that they are guaranteed for life. I have had mine for many many years and I have broken a few fiberglass pools all I have to do is pay for the shipping which is just a few dollars and they'll take care of you. My Double Bull was purchased before Primos even talked over double bull company they still take care of it. Plus it is waterproof and made out of good material.

I vote for the promise double bull blind deluxe ice ran one for 3 years now and it’s held up pretty good. A lot of room for two people pulse a little gear. If you look into the the surround view though one big complaint I hear about it is in low light it’s hard to see throw the material and in rainy weather the mesh isn’t work a dang to repel rain off you and the blind.

I have a double bull as well. I had my dad, son, and nephew in it with me turkey hunting. It was a bit crowded but we had enough room to sit comfortably.

I also had an issue where my dad tried putting it up incorrectly and broke a pole. They replaced it no questions asked. Just had to pay for shipping for the poles. Sent enough to replace each pole in the blind too!

I just don't like the camo pattern.

Honestly been looking a lot at the Rhino blinds, heavier material on some of them and won’t break the budget like a double bull. Although I have to agree quality of the double bull is top notch. Stock and Field has Rhinos in stock at most stores.

Rogers Sporting Goods.
Double bull deluxe $249
Double Bull evader $219

You won't find them cheaper anywhere else.

rhino blinds 3 person. Theyre like 100 bucks and two people can actually hunt with bows and gear inside. Built good as the 200-300 dollar versions imo

I ended up taking none of yalls advice. Found a Primos Hidesight for $125. Normally about 200. Hopefully it pays off but couldn’t pass up for nearly 50% off. Thanks for nothing ya filthy animals!

I use this silicone spray on my blinds before season, make sure to coat them well, especially the seams. I set them up in the yard and spray them down, let set for a day or two then put them out about a month before the season. If you aren't going to "preset" them and just use when you need them, then I would leave them setup behind the house and pack them up as needed.
