Yep! I remember because I entered an 8 pointer and then shot a buck later in the season and it had a ninth point that was 1/ 1zillionth of an inch too short. My buddies and I measured it fifty times. No dice!!!!!!

I believe we were discussing a one time upgrade rule addition too but i could be wrong if u kill a 4pt then an 8 u can upgrade but only 1 time.

I thought you could submit a deer at the beginning of season, and then replace it with a superior points deer when you harvested it later on....... your best 2 points qualifiers per season kinda thing.
Otherwise, you just wait till closing day to post an animal. The competition thread is barren until every hunter knows they won't/can't shoot any better deer.

I thought they did away with the earn a buck? Doesn't really matter cuz I always shoot a doe first thing anyways lol

Yep I did after I posted that and saw its earn a buck. I swear I hate our regs lol. But I always try to bust a doe early and hardly ever go after a second buck here anyways

I am in. As per usual I fell off the map Jan - August. My brain has shifted to deer season which starts in October. I missed the contest last year and wanted to make sure I didn't miss again!! Moved up to a farm and the neighbor said I can hunt his farm as well

Sorry guys, I am locking this thread. The official thread will be out in the next week or 2 and I don't want anyone to think they are signing up by posting here. My wife has been in and out of the hospital all week with some bad side effects from some new medicine and I don't have the time to keep everything straight on this thread.
