@2Shea posted another pic of that buck that literally looks like a basket 6 inside the outer rack. It would be such a cool deer to shoot.

Archery season underway up here in MN. Will be hunting out of aero evolution all year. Lucky to have a family farm to hunt on in the south eastern portion of the state that is prime deer habitat. Looking to put a big one on the board for team 5! Also, you guys need to get the deercast app. It's great and tells you good days to hunt based on weather. Wired to hunt podcast 229 did a whole episode on it if you guys want more information.

What's everyone's season plans?

I'll be 90% public land hunting, about 1-3 times a week is my goal. I have a 1 year old running around so we'll see. I had an amazing 20 acres tract with an ag feild with small section of mixed pine/oak and a creek bottom behind my house for urban archery season and got permission from the land owner (my neighbor, we recently moved so I don't know him well yet.) He said he lets 2 other guys hunt it and he'll get them to get intouch with me so we don't mess each other up...well this guy talked my neighbor into denying me permission... so that was a HUGE let down. I've never had permission to hunt within walking distance (more like 30-60 min drive) so I was pretty bummed about that.

SO.. public land it is, with a small private tract near work. I have a 3 day permit for a permit only piece of gameland and will be camping out for that.

I hunt archery unless I haven't got any meat in the fridge by gun season than I'll go back to bow. If I can sway someones mind i can hunt up until mid-February with urban archery season.
