I busted the only 2 in whatever zone I was hunting. But I undoubtedly drilled more holes and emptied more blue cans than I busted primers.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. Starting in 2020 only SH Members will be admitted to the annual hunting contest. Current members will need to follow these steps to upgrade: 1. Click on your username 2. Click on Account upgrades 3. Also thought you hunted with @John Eberhart last year.
Just saying. Maybe Blackbeard island will save you. Using vacation for a December bow hunt for the smallest deer in the state doesn’t sound like a good idea but those points only have to be 1” long to count.

Some people consider using cams and bait a handicap.I think i want in on this. I need some pressure. I like hunting bucks but i don't use spy cameras or bait. Soooo do i get a handicap?!?!?

This year I actually have time to hunt. I hunted 1 afternoon with Eberhart last year and 2 days with Huck.

AGFC is discussing urban hunts in Little Rock. Hope it happens, it would open the door for great opportunities
I'm not interested in any competition but public land kills should be higher points than private land.....
I see where you are going with that I think. However all my private land is shared and likely sees as much pressure as the public I hunt.

I agree with you, but you'll never make it "even steven." Should states like Michigan and alabama get bonus points over Kansas and Missouri? Should a single dad raising 3 kids and working 60 hours a week get bonus points over a retiree?
It's all just fun. Look at the trad group. They know they're gonna lose, but they talk chit anyways.

I see where you’re going with that but a basket racked 8 point off the beach scores the same as an 8 point giant from Iowa or Illinois. So a 90” ten point from Florida actually outscores a 165” 9 point from Kentucky. I spend most of my time on private land waiting on a giant. 75% of the deer I kill are on public. The other 20 percent are private land does with just a few private land bucks. Since the drawing is random your team will have as much chance to have a guy that hunts 3000 acres of family farm as any other team. It works itself out. The traditional tam on the other hand. Well let’s just say I want to try traditional every year but watching their scores talks me out of it.

My team has won the contest every year, but to make it more fair, the judges awarded some other teams the trophy so they wouldn't get their feelings hurt. #snowflakes

I was a few posts shy last year of getting in on this. Thinking I'll get in on it this year, though hoping I'm not too much a handicap, learning all new land and terrain.
