2019 contest hype thread

Never lose hope. I was hunting new property last year and blew a few opportunities early on. The last minute or two of last light with 1 week left in the season I finally got it done. I had almost given up for the season but figured Team 6 needed points so I went out. Glad I did.

Bold Prediction..... The deer that pushes the team points over the top for the win this year, will be carried to the finish line strapped to a kayak and pulled by mountain bike. Mark it down as as good as done!
P. S.: This is Post 1000! I love my Saddle Family:sunglasses:

Hey I have a kayak and maybe going to get a bike soon....just saying.

Its too bad I don't hunt anywhere in the midwest, alabama, new york, georgia, arkansas, west virginia, virginia, or the carolinas. I hear the deer there will just voluntarily spear themselves on your arrow to hopefully be reincarnated in a better place.... definitely makes for easier hunting than the rest of us have to do...

This is true with most cases if my tick marks were correct I had 138 deer this year at bow range. With saying that not one buck over the two years range. So if you want a plentiful hunt they are here. If you want quality it’s not easy to come by. Because everyone gets so many tags here they just shoot them young. Heck this year you are given 4 buck tags no antler restriction then you can buy 3 more that have to have 4 or more on one side! And you can get all seven you don’t have to use them in any order so just put them on the buck that the tag fits. Do I love the quantity yes but, do I love the quality no. That’s why I’m going to Ohio this year to try to get a bigger class deer and not even the horns I just a big bodied deer.

No not 7 deer 7 bucks then you get two doe tags and you can buy four more so you can get 13 deer I’m in South Carolina
Va isnt quite that bad, but its still bad. Majority of the state youre issued 3 buck tags and 3 doe tags, buck tags can be filled anytime you want with no restrictions. If you fill your 3 doe tags you can purchase 3 more bonus tags for $18. You can fill as many doe tags as you'd like during archery and muzzle loader

Georgia deer will occasionally just jump on the end of an arrow. Not for the hunters benefit but just to end it all. When they are anemic from the mosquitos and ticks, and on the verge of a heat stroke they’ll just give up.

Wow, I have never had any deer come anywhere near flinging themselves on my spear or broadhead. But I hunt the midwest, the "land of giants". But i only get one buck tag for archery and one other for either firearms season, no rifles allowed by the way. I have to be picky, because i really dont want to tag a 1 1/2 year old 4 pt. If I had another tag or two I might consider it, but then again I wouldn't be in the land of giants if that were the case.

Not worth a side contest on it's own, but would be fun to track Pros vs Joes for the biggest scoring buck. Pros should win every time in theory, but there are enough Joes on here with access to decent hunting that there is a fighting chance. I will not be hunting out of NC this fall so likely will not even pull the trigger unless non hunting friends beg me for does again, so I will not be in the contest.

This is the truth
