Just went and refreshed my hog bait, cant keep the deer off of it. Come September 26th I may have to slip that way if I dont get a bigger one found on the public down the road.

I've got a bunch of up and comers on the farm this year, but nothing mature, had 3 last year but they all got killed. Which is why I been spending more time on public this summer

Does the rubber boot method work for deer or are they too jumpy?
The sheep herders wear rubber boots so you can put the hind feet of the sheep in the boots so they dont run...

Typically signup starts around Sept 1st. Last year there was a "rookie" category that seemed to work out pretty well so I suspect @redsquirrel might repeat it this year. At this point the best source of information is last years rules.

Things will be a little different this year since you have to be a SH member to participate in contest. So probably no rookie team.
