I’m up for a week or long weekend group hunt if y’all want to go. As long as the group stays small. Nutterbuster got me thinking of finding a camper spot to put my camper for the season at Bankhead.
Yea there are free primitive campsites out there but I’m not sure how long you can leave a camper. I’m down to rough neck it either way.

That muskie in your profile is huge!!! I have tried to catch one a few times but I have been unsuccessful. I had maybe a 36-40 incher next to the boat but he got off in the netting process.

I gotta get started with my hunting prep but I have been so busy at work, around the house, and prior to that we were dealing with my daughter's injury. Maybe this post will be what I need to get the thread injector started and bow out.

Thanks! That’s my personal best, 46 inches!

I’m from NY and would love to try hunting somewhere else, but I’ve also got lots of public land around me if anyone wanted to try this way. I also chase muskies around here and wouldnt mind trying that somewhere new.
Hey schmeiske meister,i might come see ya for a hunt if you are up for it. i am only an hour or so from your area. Or if you are interested in coming up to my area that would be swell. This will be my first year on state land,so i dont have a big inventory of spots yet. I did scout some areas.

Did anyone on the teams in the past trade hunts with team members or hunt with team members (instate/out of state or otherwise)? I’d be real interested to host team members or maybe even go somewhere none of us have hunted and see what we could do.

Y’all may think I’m crazy, I know the wife does.. she says I keep meeting strange people on the interwebs like @bamaxander @Kenbama @iamcorey @swampsnyper and @Nutterbuster

I got a boat and canoe this year and am looking forward to some all day hunts with water access.
I haven’t, but would love to find a group to hunt with near me!

Last few years I’ve camped in a tent a few times when hunting public land. Last season, I camped in my truck bed with a camper top. I’d love to take part in a Saddle Hunter public land hunt somewhere. But I’m not sure I’ll have the vacation time this year. I live in the Cincinnati area. My wife’s parents are both suffering pretty bad health wise and I expect I’ll be spending some more time with them in Southern Illinois this year. Plus, my daughter and son-in-law are moving to Toledo in August. I’ll be using my truck and vacation time to help them. This may not be a good year for me to buy an out-of-state license. We’ll see how it goes. But it is a lot of fun just to think about it!

Hoping I can partake in the fun this year, but even if not, I look forward to seeing everyone's season!

If you blow back at them, sometimes they’ll come over and let you shoot them.
I have done that trick a time or two myself. Works awesome in gun season, ya just need them to move in the open and they generally will looking for the blowing deer.

October 1st in some spots.

Looked up the zones and strongly thinking of going up that first weekend in October to camp and hunt, mentioned to the wife to go camping on the national forest so I can scout that morning while she sleeps.
