Nice buck. Your shoot a relatively light arrow correct? Apologies if I’m wrong. Curious how the arrow performed and what you hit?

Thank you. So not light at all.It was a 12 yard shot so fairly steep but not severe. I hit a bit lower than should have but within an inch of where I was looking. Just got focused on a spot lower than I should have. Anywho, arrow took a chunk out of leg bone and ribs and sternum exiting. Front leg was up like a pointer dog at impact. He was just slightly quartered too. The line he was on would have had him broadside at 12 o’clock and I shot at 11 if that makes sense. Strong side shot just a bit short of being behind the tree. He broke the arrow when he lunged about 10” behind the head but the head had already exited at that point. Arrow was 570 grain Doug fir with a 3 blade woodsman out front. The two does shot this year with the same arrow but with an ace standard out front we’re both pass throughs only hitting ribs behind the shoulder.

Thank you. I must be recalling a comment from somebody else. Happy for your success. No I have never been a fan of light arrow setups. I consider my setup to be normal or moderate, not light, not heavy, just right
Well done.I filled my muzzleloader doe tag with my recurve on Thursday and my dad filled his buck tag with a spike but, neither of us took a pic of our deer. Pics of the heart will have to do, it sure tasted good.....
