2023 Fishing Thread

I was able to get out on the river the other morning and caught 30 fish. Mostly largemouths and a handful of stripes in the mix. You got to love that summer schooling action.

Got to fish Lake Michigan 1 out of 4 scheduled days for Kings in Frankfurt. Windy S.O.B up there lately. Had to improvise and river fish these bad boys. We did get 4 out on the big water. And the view was priceless. Dunes on the shoreline as far as u can see. Shouldve taken a pic.

Nothing says fall is coming like dirty kings at the pier heads.
 
I got to go out with an older man from church who always puts is on the fish. It was a slow day but we managed to catch a few nice ones.

We also went hiking the other day and my son pulled out two smallmouth and two bream from a little creek. I’m really wanting a Tenkara rod now. I need one of the cheap good ones lol

All tenkara rods are cheap if you factor in that you don't also need a reel and a fly line. Get a good one. Tenkara USA makes what I think are the nicest American models, but the Japanese models are next-level. I died a little when a buddy broke my Kurenai 390. But my Rhodo is nice too.

The nice thing too about tenkara USA is that if you break a tip section they can just send you a new tip and you fix it yourself in about 30 seconds. Speaking from experience
