Definitely hoping for a decent turn out. If you guys don’t mind, go on the web page, sign up and pay so that we can get accurate numbers for the food, shirts and camp sites. I think we are gonna have a good turn out and a lot of fun. Who knows maybe weldabeast will get those tipsy e-bike races after all

Hang Con as in the giant hammock convention? Wow that’s awesome. I told the wife we should try to make that one year. Looks like a blast

bought my ticket
Did u get ur management area permit or are u not planning on hunting? If u did, do u mind sharing how much it was...

With the hot showers ft Stewart is better for camping but huntings better down here and its much more laid back....not having to worry about tanks an all and no service phone calls to check in and out...I was listening to dogs running pigs most of the night and the boys killing em up as I lay in the hammock last year.

Let's just hope the weather holds out...there is a pavilion to gather under if it does rain too hard

Definitely a good time. We've been going since 2011 it was called the Florida Hang and we had about 30 people. These gathering can take off we outgrew our first location at Buck Lake rather quickly.

For any out of state guys: if you are planning to participate in the hog hunt, you don’t need a hunting license (they have a cheap 10 day option), only a management area permit. If you wanna shoot other small game animals while you’re there, you’ll need a license. Here is a list of costs for out of state peeps. Again you’ll only need a WMA permit since hog are considered invasive vermin.

So big news, @JCLINE84 offered to do a custom saddle build for one of the raffle winners. He said if his school schedule allows he will try to come down. @always89y (Custom Gear Modifications) also said he’s gonna try to join us as well as send us a little something special for one of the giveaways if he can’t make it down. Benny at Buzzard Roost said the same thing. Shawn over at Bullman Outdoors is sending some platform steps and possibly some of the climbing steps too. They will be available for demo and part of the prize for the hog hunt. @DanO is sending something if he can’t make it as well. So best case scenario, we get some of the best saddle gear manufacturers and distributors in the game all hanging out, showing off their set ups and hunting. Worst case scenario. it’s a bunch of us normal types and we get to try out and WIN some of the best gear in the game. We are still pending response from one other saddle manufacturer. There will be some awesome gear in the Saddle Hide & Seek portion. Some awesome raffle giveaways and some of the best BBQ that Florida has to offer. I for one am really getting excited!
We are hoping the guys I’ve mentioned can all make it but even if they do not, I am adding them all as event cosponsors for the fliers and the shirts.

By the way, we are dubbing the meet up with a cooler name since it’s growing a little bigger than a little meet up:

we are thinking of naming this annual event:
Saddle N Swine thoughts? Suggestions?
