Struck out on morels so far. Not enough rain during the critical warm up period I think. I did try pheasant's back yesterday picked about a dozen smaller ones. I always heard they were not good to eat but I found them to be quite excellent.

I know nothing about mushrooms but have quite a few coming up around the 2ish year old poplar stump grindings/dirt pile in my yard. Not the best pic because of the rain

We have a few branches that fell off our tree maybe 4 years ago. We get golden oyster mushrooms on them 6-8 times a year!

Don't give up just yet. I was thinking that it was going to be a bad year and I went out today for one last try. It was my best day ever.

Kidding aside we have a tone of different edible mushrooms .shantrells and checken of the woods most common in bulk , truffels its just rediculous.its not my thing but all my family Respect our frage in detail.i just Respect creation as an art and take some picks on my phone.
